Kamelot

Kamelot is an American power metal band from Tampa, Florida, formed by Thomas Youngblood and Richard Warner in 1991. The Norwegian vocalist Roy Khan joined for the album Siége Perilous, and shared songwriting credit with Youngblood until his departure in April 2011. On June 22, 2012, Youngblood announced on their website that their new vocalist is the Swedish singer Tommy Karevik, who was first featured on Kamelot's album Silverthorn as main vocalist, co-songwriter and lyricist.

As of 2015, Kamelot had released eleven studio albums (excluding two reissues), two live albums, one live DVD, and eleven music videos. Their latest studio album is Haven, which was released May 2015 via Napalm Records.

Biography

Early years (1988-2000)

Kamelot was unofficially formed back in 1988 by Youngblood, Warner and others as "Camelot". The band recorded "Breaking The Silence" for the "Tampa Bay's Metal Mercenaries: The Invasion" a cassette of various Heavy Metal bands from Tampa Bay produced by Keith "Thumper" Collins (ex-bassist for Savatage).

Napalm Records

Napalm Records is an Austrian independent record label focused on heavy metal and hard rock.

Originally, Napalm Records focused mainly on black metal acts such as Abigor and Summoning and folk metal bands such as Falkenbach and Vintersorg. Later on, Napalm Records expanded its roster by adding gothic metal, symphonic metal, power metal and doom metal, as well as the electronic metalcore band Beyond All Recognition, to their roster. Napalm Records has also distributed stoner rock albums, such as Monster Magnet, Karma to Burn, and Brant Bjork works.

Napalm Records has its own publishing house named Iron Avantgarde Publishing.

Alissa White-Gluz (/əˈlisə waɪt ɡlʌz/; born July 31, 1985) is a Canadian vocalist, best known as the former lead vocalist and one of the founding members of the Canadian metal band The Agonist, and current lead vocalist for the Swedish melodic death metal group Arch Enemy.

In 2004, White-Gluz formed The Agonist with fellow band members Danny Marino and Chris Kells in Montreal, Canada.

On March 17, 2014, Arch Enemy announced via press release that Alissa would be replacing their former vocalist Angela Gossow

White-Gluz released a statement on her Facebook page saying that she had left The Agonist, and that Vicky Psarakis had taken over as vocalist. "[I]t is with great sadness that I must also announce that The Agonist as you have come to know it is now a thing of the past. I had every intention of (and had even started) writing and recording yet another killer album this year, but my former band-mates decided to choose a different path. I wish I could change the situation but the unfortunate decision was made beyond my control so I can only wish them the very best of luck now that our time working together has concluded."

A music video or song video is a short film integrating a song and imagery, produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Modern music videos are primarily made and used as a marketing device intended to promote the sale of music recordings.
