Mattel is wisely acknowledging the many and varied interests of little girls everywhere by releasing its very first Thomas & Friends clothing range to include options for girls.
It's a long overdue move for kids and parents alike, who have long known gender means nothing when it comes to personal interests.
Girls can love persnickety animated trains too, and can now wear clothing featuring this favourite character, in this new limited edition collection available exclusively at Myer from November.
Of particular note for girls is a one-piece swimsuit, denim dress with red buttons, as well as dresses, t-shirts and leggings.
There's also a new infant range, as well as the usual expected collection for boys.
The girl's range is sized from 0 to 4; the boy's infant and toddler range from 000 to 5.
