Following the recall of over half a million Little Tikes 2-in-1 Snug 'n Secure swings in the US, Australia has now been included in the list of countries with affected products.
A recall notice issued by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) indicates that the outdoor baby/toddler swing, impacted by the recall, has a pale pink seat and dark pink T-bar with a "Little Tikes" logo, as well as yellow ropes.
The plastic seat can crack or break, posing a fall hazard, the ACCC notes.

Although no injuries or complaints have been reported in Australia, there have been incidences of swings breaking, as well as injuries reported overseas. At the time of the US recall, there had been 39 reported injuries to kids, including abrasions, bruises, cuts and bumps to the head. Two of the reported injuries included broken arms.
The swings were sold nationally between 1 January 2011 - 31 December 2013 in the following retailers: Toys R Us, Toyworld, OO.com, The Playroom and Harvey Norman.
Affected model numbers are: 615573, 615573K, 615573M
In addition, the ACCC recall notes: "If the moulded INNER arrow of the date code stamp on your product is pointing to "09", "10", "11", "12", or "13", your swing may be included in the recall."

Consumers are advised to:
- Stop using the recalled swings immediately.
- Contact Headstart International for a replacement swing or refund in the form of a credit towards the purchase of another Little Tikes item.
