Information for participants of riding courses
THE PARTICIPANT will perform activities including horses and potentially dangerous situations and activities connected with them.
THE PARTICIPANT will be informed about and is aware of the following facts:
- Many dangers and risks are connected with horses and riding. Horses are strong and sometimes even dangerous animals.
- A horse can jump to different directions or kick anytime without a warning or reason, rise, become uncontrollable or wild.
- Horses can become tired or sensitive to stress. Their behaviour cannot be predicted in advance.
- A horse ridden or lead by the participant can trip, fall or something else can happen to him (injury, illness).
- Different factors such as weather, ground, other animals or people, machines, things and other participants can influence a horse's behaviour.
- These risks are inseparably connected with horses and equestrian sport and cannot be predicted in advance or controlled. The service provider cannot remove them or he is not obliged to do so.
- These risks and activities may cause damage on property, physical and psychical damage, illnesses, paralysis or death (to a participant or a member of his family).
- The service provider cannot predict or control unscrupulous and irresponsible actions (failure to observe instruction of professional personnel or to implement obligations) of other people or participants. Such irresponsibility can consequently result in damage on property and physical and psychical damage, sometimes even with grave consequences.
- 9. Riding and other activities with horses are sometimes performed in areas (e.g. in the wild) where normal access to health care is not possible. A participant can face physical or psychical damage, illnesses, paralyses and other incidents in places where access to a doctor, hospital or other form of medical assistance is not available. The service provider thus explicitly requires observation of safety rules, instructions of personnel and the use of riding equipment.
- 10. In all stages of working with horses participants must give well-being of a horse priority over other requirements.
