Man charged over train station firearm threat

Detectives have charged a man who allegedly pulled a gun on Transperth revenue officers on Sunday.

The confrontation happened at Oats Street train station in Carlisle, about 12.15pm Sunday, police say.

After allegedly pointing the gun at the officer, the man ran off and a police search was launched.

Regional Investigation Unit detectives investigating the incident arrested the man on Monday afternoon.

Detectives have charged the 22-year-old Gosnells man with being armed in a way that may cause fear, possess controlled weapon and possess drug paraphernalia.

He will face court on Tuesday.
