Victoria University has world leading researchers available to supervise successful graduate research scholarship applicants to become the next generation of research-qualified professionals.

Victoria University offers scholarships for tuition fees and a living allowance (stipend) to assist graduate research students (both domestic and international) with the costs of their study. 

Priority will be given to applicants who pursue a research degree in one of Victoria University’s areas of research focus and of relevance to the research being undertaken in our Research Institutes/Centres and Academic Colleges.

Main research scholarship round

Applications for the main round of research scholarships (APA, VUPRS, VU diversity scholarship, IPRS and VUIPRS) are accepted during the following periods each year (for commencement in the following academic year):

  • International applicants - 1 August to 30 September.
  • Domestics applicants - 1 September to 28 October.
