National School of Business Management (NSBM)

The National School of Business Management (NSBM) in Sri Lanka is delivering VU degrees in banking and finance/financial risk management and information technology from 2017, under a new international delivery partnership.

Strategically located in Homagama, 20 kilometres from central Colombo, the NSBM’s Green University Town campus is the first of its kind in South Asia, offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in business management, computing and engineering.

The following VU undergraduate degrees are available at the NSBM Green University Town:

These VU degrees are delivered as a four year program model; comprising two years of study at NSBM or at the National Institute of Business Management (NIBM) and two years of VU degree study.

Pathway opportunities

Students can enter the relevant VU bachelor degrees by:

  • Completing two years of the Bachelor of Science in Business Management (Special)/Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science/Bachelor of Science (Honours) at NSBM
  • Completing a two year Higher National Diploma in Business Management or Higher Diploma in Computer Based Information Systems at NIBM (the specialist diploma provider college of the NSBM).

Students can complete the entire VU degree in Sri Lanka at the NSBM Green University Town or transfer to VU in Melbourne for one or two years of study.
