We have several creative arts spaces and services that engage the broader arts and media community.
Design Studio
Students working in the Design Studio
Located at VU at MetroWest, the Design Studio offers a work environment for final year graphic design students. They get to experience what it is like to work creatively as a team and under pressure. Students from multimedia, digital media, games and visual arts also have the opportunity to get involved on particular projects.
Students produce commercial work for internal and external clients, working with the client to the end product.
Kindred Studios
Kindred Studios
Kindred Studios offers all music and sound production students the opportunity to study at a working arts industry facility located just 1km from the Footscray Nicholson campus.
In 2016 Kindred Studios was listed as one of the top ten co-working spaces in the world by Lonely Planet.
We have our own dedicated music rehearsal, performance and recording spaces as well as a huge range of equipment available for student use or for hire. Students can also make use of the Kindred performance space and White Room photography studio.
We can provide a range of high-quality student performance and live sound production services for upcoming events.

The Centre Space
The Centre Space is a white-walled open plan public area which can be used as a gallery, exhibition, seminar, display or workshop space. It can host up to 100 patrons and has wheelchair access.
It is located at VU's newest facility - VU at MetroWest.
