That's about it from myself and Chris Dutton. Stay tuned for his match report and analysis. Thanks for tuning in. Until next time, goodnight.

The Brumbies will be disappointed with that result. They had plenty of possession and looked the better team for much of the game. Conceding a try right on half-time set the scene for the second half, and the Highlanders did enough to keep the scoreboard ticking over. It's going to be a long trip home for the Brumbies, who now find themselves in real trouble of missing out on finals.

Christian Lealiifano sums up the feeling in the Brumbies squad: "We had a lot of time with the ball and we just needed to consolidate when we had it."

And there's the full-time siren, Sopoaga boots the ball deep into the crowd to end the match.

Final score: Highlanders 23 bt Brumbies 10

The Brumbies make one last attack to try and salvage a bonus point but a forward pass ends any hope they had. Robbie Abel comes on with 20 minutes left on the clock.

And just like that it's a knock-on against the Brumbies while they were deep in attack. Dear oh dear. Four minutes left, the Highlanders look home.

PENALTY goes against the Highlander and the Brumbies kick ahead for a lineout. They really need to score during this next phase or it's all she wrote you would think.

Joe Powell on for Tomas Cubelli. And straight away the Brumbies lose the ball again - there's a few errors creeping into their game now.

PENALTY to the Highlanders, another kick at goal to come by the look of it. The Highlanders seem content to take any points on offer at the moment in what's been a relatively low-scoring match. Sopoaga lands another penalty goal. It's going to be tough for the Brumbies from here.

Highlanders 23 lead Brumbies 10

We've had a bit of a break in play after Liam Squire went down in back play. His night is done, with Joe Wheeler to play the last 10 minutes of this game.

The Brumbies have lost the ball and now they've conceded a penalty inside their own half, which in Super Rugby speak means we've got a kick at goal coming.

Lima Sopoaga lines it up and makes no mistake. That's a big kick - they now lead by 10 with 12 minutes to go.

Alright folks, Chris 'Blocka' Dutton has left the building to get cracking on a match report, so you're stuck with me, Kyle Mackey-Laws, to bring this game home. C'mon Brumbies!

63: We're going to the TMO!! The Brumbies threw everything at the Highlanders for three minutes and it was all within a 5 metre zone of the Highlanders' line. Someone's gone over the line and it's going to be hard to tell if they got it down. Looks like it's Scott Sio trying to poke his nose through. No big screen so ref can't tell. All in the hands of the TMO. No clear grounding!

Highlanders 17 lead Brumbies 10.

We're going to a scrum.

61: Another penalty to the Brumbies, this time out wide and 5m out. They're going for another lineout here.

59: Highlanders defend the rolling maul well, Brumbies punching away at the Highlanders defence trying to find a hole but there's nothing there!

58: PENALTY to the Brumbies and they're going to go for an attacking lineout here.

56: PENALTY Highlanders. Brumbies obstruct the Highlanders players chasing a kick through and take them out before Aidan Toua grabs it. It gives Sopoaga another penalty chance, this time from out wide. He's near the left touch line and he gets this one as well!

Highlanders 17 lead Brumbies 10

51: TRY TIME! The Brumbies finally get a rolling maul right and get rewards straight away. They set up well and Josh Mann-Rea's at the back as they go forward. Mann-Rea touches down, but should have been a penalty try anyway. Highlanders pulled that rolling maul down. Christian Lealiifano lining up the shot at goal and he gets it. Game on!

Highlanders 14 lead Brumbies 10

49: Tempers on edge, David Pocock says Robbie Coleman was being kneed in the head and Brumbies players run from everywhere. Brumbies get penalty and they've got an attacking lineout 16 metres out.

46: TRY TIME to the Highlanders again!! Tevita Kuridrani rushes up in defence but can't put a shot on opposite number Malakai Fekitoa, and the All Blacks' No. 13 makes a break and finds a flying Ben Smith who breaks this game open. The Highlanders can thank their defence for that one, huge moment in the match. Sopoaga lines one up from out wide. He nails it!

Highlanders 14 lead Brumbies 3

44: Looks like the Brumbies are just too deep in attack, they're getting caught behind the advantage line every time. Not much space, the Highlanders defence has been the best aspect of this game.
