Refugees, migrants and asylum

Migrants, refugees and asylum seekers are often scapegoated by politicians and the media for a whole range of problems. We want to dispel these exploitative myths and work to create a fair and effective system.

We also help protect the most vulnerable migrants and refugees from being abused by their employers, traffickers and smugglers.

Human Rights Act

The Human Rights Act is a powerful tool. It brings home fundamental, universal rights we all have as human beings, and allows us to challenge authorities if they violate them.

Attacked by some, misreported by others and misunderstood by many – it’s time to spread the message that human rights matter.

We defend people who have been or are at risk of being denied their human rights and stand beside those who defend rights.

Death penalty

Last year alone, over 607 people were executed by their government. Many more executions were carried out in secret - including unknown numbers of state-sponsored deaths in China and North Korea.

The death penalty is the ultimate denial of human rights, which is why we're working for an end to its use - everywhere.

Free speech

Free speech is the right to say whatever you like about whatever you like, whenever you like, right? Wrong.

Free speech is one of our most important rights and one of the most misunderstood. Use your free speech to speak out for those that are denied theirs. But use it responsibly, it is a powerful thing.
