The Grid Twelve is made up of the 12 South East Queensland dams which contribute to the water supply system. These dams are Wivenhoe, Somerset, North Pine, Hinze, Baroon Pocket, Leslie Harrison, Ewen Maddock, Cooloolabin, Lake Kurwongbah, Lake Macdonald, Little Nerang and Wappa.

The Grid Twelve % Full is calculated by dividing the combined current capacity of the dams in the group by the combined full supply capacity.

South East Queensland dam storage levels

The following table provides the latest available information about the region's dams.

Dam levels are updated regularly 24 hours a day. Please note, dam levels are based on automated data which has not been verified.

On 21 January 2016, temporary full supply levels were enacted for Somerset Dam and Wivenhoe Dam (part of the Somerset Dam Improvement Project). These equate to storage percentages of approximately 80% for Somerset Dam and 90% for Wivenhoe Dam. These temporary full supply levels will remain in place until current dam improvement works at Somerset Dam are completed. Seqwater will commence flood releases from Wivenhoe and Somerset dams if storage levels exceed the enacted temporary full supply levels as a result of rainfall in the dam catchments.
