Grand Banks was conceived by brothers and lifelong sailors, Miles and Alex Pincus, and New York City nightlife veteran, Adrien Gallo; and operates in partnership with the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Maritime Foundation.
Grand Banks was developed with support from Mark Firth, co-founder of Diner, Marlow and Sons, Romans, and Prairie Whale; and designed in collaboration with Eric Cheong, studio director of Atelier Ace, the creative services studio behind Ace Hotels.
The Sherman Zwicker, our beloved ship, was generously donated by Captain George McEvoy and director Bob Ryan of the Grand Banks Schooner Museum Trust.
Nationally-acclaimed chef, Kerry Heffernan, previously executive chef and partner at Eleven Madison Park, is executive chef, directing both the kitchen and sustainability initiatives. Lauren Schell, previously bar manager of the renowned Milk and Honey, and head bartender at Little Branch, directs the cocktail program.
