A man is dead after being crushed in the engine bay of a truck in an industrial accident on the Sunshine Coast.
A Workplace Health and Safety spokesman said the man was working in the engine bay of the truck when the cab tipped back and trapped him.
"Our inspectors are on site and investigating the incident," he said.
Emergency services were called to The Recycling Centre on Link Crescent at Coolum Beach about 9.20am but could not save the man
Police said the 55-year-old man was declared dead about half an hour later and they would prepare a report for the coroner.
