The Beach Boys - Sailing Into The Sun(LandLocked) - Alternate Album
In the later part of 1970 the Beach Boys engineer Stephen Desper compiled a tape that could have been suitable for a second Beach Boys album under Warner/Reprise. Over the years there has been a hoax that it was submitted as an album to Warner and was called Landlocked. The 13 songs on the tape apparently were going to make the next album but the idea was rejected by Warners. For my version of this I have only used 12 tracks, omitting Lookin' At Tomorrow because of YouTube copyright reasons -__-, And have just used the Desper Mix of Till I Die to fill in the time. Because there was never going to be a Landlocked album, I have re-named this album, Sailing Into The Sun in reference to the song Loop De Loop where the lyrics reads'We'll Sail Right Into The Sun'. Because there was never going to be a Landlocked album, I have re-named this album, Sailing Into The Sun in reference to the song Loop De Loop where the lyrics reads'We'll Sail Right Into The Sun'. The songs Big Sur and Carnival somehow remain unreleased to this day but these versions here are in decent enough quality to use, as-well as the original mixes of Good Time, HELP Is On The Way, Loop De Loop and also Take A Load off Your Feet.

In the later part of 1970 the Beach Boys engineer Stephen Desper compiled a tape that could have been suitable for a second Beach Boys album under Warner/Reprise. Over the years there has been a hoax that it was submitted as an album to Warner and was called Landlocked. The 13 songs on the tape apparently were going to make the next album but the idea was rejected by Warners. For my version of this I have only used 12 tracks, omitting Lookin' At Tomorrow because of YouTube copyright reasons -__-, And have just used the Desper Mix of Till I Die to fill in the time.
Because there was never going to be a Landlocked album, I have re-named this album, Sailing Into The Sun in reference to the song Loop De Loop where the lyrics reads'We'll Sail Right Into The Sun'. The songs Big Sur and Carnival somehow remain unreleased to this day but these versions here are in decent enough quality to use, as-well as the original mixes of Good Time, HELP Is On The Way, Loop De Loop and also Take A Load off Your Feet.
