On Anniversaries

I don't really do birthdays and christmas, and I don't do other people's anniversaries. But there are a couple of dates that are quite important to me. There's the date in early June when [personal profile] magister and I first met, which is almost exactly coincident with the date four years later when we first had a "date", given that both happened at the FFW. Then there's the date in early October this year when we all moved in together to our lovely new house.

Today, though? 15th of February? That's the anniversary of me first meeting [personal profile] matgb. I shall be eternally grateful to [livejournal.com profile] ginasketch for her suggestion that we escape the horrors of Valentine's Day in our dead relationships by going to London to see them record the News Quiz and we could fangirl Sandi oh and while we're there, there's this guy who just moved to London who wants to meet us for a drink...

That was five years ago. Five years. A lot has happened since then, some of it good and some of it less good, but one thing's for sure: I'm a lot happier now than I was then.

Happy anniversary, my lovely [personal profile] matgb. And here's to the next five years. And the five after that. And... well, you get the picture.
