In the aftermath of a horrific incident like we have witnessed in London today, misinformation can spread unabated – usually by those who only mean to help.
It appears that photos of a young woman are circulating online with the message:
MY GIRLFRIEND TAMARA DE ANDA WAS VISITING #Westminster TODAY. PLEASE. TELL ME IF SHE'S ALRIGHT. SHE STUDYING AT LSE.
There have been several variations of this appearing.
And while many well-meaning people have shared the tweet, a simple Google image search shows that this is actually a journalist named Tamara de Anda.

This afternoon, she was actually involved in a Facebook live for The New York Times.
