For those not so keen on the wet weather - forecast to continue with showers for the next few days - conditions tend to try out into Autumn, according to the Bureau.
And if you thought summer was hotter and drier than usual, you would be right there too.
"For summer we were certainly on the dry side for December, January, February," Mr Threlfall said.
"Every weather site across the Brisbane area recorded less than 80 per cent of the average rainfall."
Brisbane also recorded its warmest summer on record in terms of mean temperature, up almost two degrees above the average.
"It was hot," Mr Threlfall said.
The daily maximum temperatures for Brisbane are set to dip a little below 30 degrees this week, with a top of 29 degrees on Wednesday, 28 on Thursday and 29 degrees on Friday, with showers forecast for the rest of the working week.
Saturday is forecast to hit a top of 30 degrees with a possible shower, and Sunday is set to reach 32 with a shower or two.
