Ether, North Carolina

Coordinates: 35°26′23″N 79°47′02″W / 35.43972°N 79.78389°W Ether is an unincorporated community in the northeastern part of Montgomery County, North Carolina, United States.[1]
A post office called Ether has been in operation since 1888.[2] The community was named for the fact a country physician prescribed ether.[3]
