Public Call for submission of project proposal for allocation of funds within the “Via Dinarica: A Platform for Sustainable Tourism Development and Local Economic Growth” Project
 
Improvement of tourist accommodation infrastructure, offers and services along White and Green Trails of Via Dinarica in Bosnia and Herzegovina


The overall objective of the Via Dinarica: A Platform for Sustainable Tourism Development and Local Economic Growth Project, jointly funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is the development of potential and promotion of Dinaric corridor in order to contribute to reduction of economic, social and regional disparities in Bosnia and Herzegovina through affirmation of Via Dinarica as a regional tourism destination and increase of BiH’ competitiveness in nature-based tourism. The project aim is to further forge the process of establishing the Via Dinarica corridor as a community-owned and operated tourism product that provides sustainable livelihoods for a broad range of stakeholders.

This Public Call for allocation of grants, jointly funded by the Via Dinarica Project and the FBiH Ministry of Environment and Tourism, aims to further improve the flow of tourist along the Via Dinarica, contributing to its reputation as a regional tourism destination through improvement of tourism accommodation capacities and introduction of new tourism services and products along the Green and White Trails. More broadly, this financial scheme will contribute to strengthening of overall tourism sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In line with the above stated, this Public Call for submission of project proposals is related to 3 priority themes:

Priority theme 1: Rehabilitation of mountain accommodation along the Via Dinarica Green Trail.
Priority theme 2: Rehabilitation or improvement of accommodation conditions of private tourist accommodation facilities along the Via Dinarica Green and White Trails.
Priority theme 3: Improvement of existing services and diversification of tourism offers in the field of nature-based tourism along the Via Dinarica Green Trail.

A proposal can only be submitted under one of the three priority themes and must comply with the specific conditions and requirements of each priority theme.

Applicants submitting proposals for priority theme 1 need to read the detailed information provided in section 2.1 of these Guidelines.
Applicants submitting proposals for priority theme 2 should read the detailed information provided in section 2.2. of these Guidelines.
Applicants submitting proposals for priority theme 3 should read the detailed information provided in section 2.3. of these Guidelines.

One applicant can submit maximum 1 project proposal for the entire Call for Proposal and its 3 priority themes.

All qualified and interested potential applicants, who would like to participate in this project activity, are hereby invited to submit their project proposals, including the supporting documentation, by 17:00 hrs on Thursday, 2 March 2017, at the latest.
