JAWI is commonly used in the Malay Archipelago, which is located in the Southeast Asia, during the older days. However, as time goes by, the Jawi Script is being replaced with a simplified version called Rumi. Jawi is no longer being seen or written in Singapore, except for religious purposes. Therefore, I have decided to expose Jawi Script to the younger generation of the Malay Community to appreaciate it's beauty and art, as well as making Jawi Script as a part of their identity!

Negaraku (English: My Country) is the national anthem of Malaysia. It was selected as a national anthem at the time of the Federation of Malaya's independence from Britain in 1957. The tune was originally used as the state anthem of Perak,[1] which was adopted from a Indonesian folk song "Terang Bulan".

"Negaraku" (Jawi: نݢاراکو) dipilih daripada lagu rasmi negeri Perak yang berasal daripada Pulau Mahé di Kepulauan Seychelles, telah dibawa pulang oleh Sultan Abdullah setelah Baginda selesai menjalani hukuman dibuang negeri ke Kepulauan Seychelles, kerana didakwa bersubahat membunuh Residen British, JWW Birch. Lagu ciptaan penggubah Perancis, Pierre Jean de Beranger (1780-1857) ini, kemudiannya telah diberikan seni kata baru dan dinamakan "Allah Lanjutkan Usia Sultan" seterusnya dijadikan lagu rasmi Negeri Perak Darul Ridzuan.
Lagu rasmi negeri Perak "Allah Lanjutkan Usia Sultan" ini telah dipilih menjadi lagu kebangsaan Persekutuan Tanah Melayu oleh jemaah hakim yang diketuai oleh YTM Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj pada 5 Ogos 1957. Upacara pemilihan lagu kebangsaan ini berlangsung di Dewan Polis Depoh, Kuala Lumpur.
Sebanyak 4 buah lagu telah diperdengarkan oleh Pasukan Pancaragam Polis Diraja. Lagu Allah Lanjutkan Usia Sultan telah terpilih. Keputusan jemaah hakim ini kemudian telah dikemukakan kepada Majlis Raja-raja Melayu.
Setelah dipersetujui, kerajaan telah mengeluarkan tawaran RM1,000 kepada pengubah untuk mencipta seni katanya. Tawaran ini telah dimenangi oleh Encik Saiful Bahri dan lagu kebangsaan 'Negaraku' gubahan beliau terdapat dalam 3 versi.
Lagu Negaraku telah ditukar rentak kepada rentak yang lebih rancak oleh Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, Perdana Menteri Malaysia ke-4. Lagu Negaraku berentak baru dipersembahkan buat kali pertama pada sambutan Ambang Merdeka di Dataran Merdeka tengah malam 30 Ogos 2003.
Lagu Negaraku berentak baru itu dimainkan selepas Perdana Menteri Malaysia yang keempat, Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad melaungkan "Merdeka" sebanyak tujuh kali.
Lirik Negaraku berentak baru masih sama. Cuma permulaan lagu itu perlahan seperti irama lagu Negaraku yang asal dan selepas itu, pergerakannya akan bertambah laju.

Ang "Negaraku" (Bayan Ko) ay ang pambansang awit ng Malaysia. Ipinili ang "Negaraku" bilang pambansang awit sa panahon ng kalayaan ng Pederasyon ng Malaya mula sa Nagkakaisang Kaharian noong 1957.

I've made the Brunei national anthem cover by myself including lyrics in Malay with Jawi script, and English for all Bruneians and all viewers worldwide.
I've started learning the other national anthems since 2011 when i was in 8th grade at Sekolah Menengah Pertama (in English: Secondary School) and then i had mastered Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and also Indonesia.
Inspired by learning an other language and script, i really interested to learn other anthem to know the country's history and patriotism.
Then, it became unstoppable and i always hear an other anthems in YouTube or in PC and phone. It became the hobby to sing this until now. Currently i'm now a student of Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and now i've mastered 54 anthems and still counting...

Saya membuat lagu kebangsaan Brunei Darussalam yang dibuat oleh saya sendiri beserta lirik dalam bahasa Melayu juga huruf Jawi, dan Inggeris untuk semua rakyat Brunei Darussalam maupun bangsa lain.
Saya pertama kali belajar lagu-lagu kebangsaan lain sejak tahun 2011 ketika masih duduk di bangku SMP kelas 2, saat itu saya sudah hafal lagu kebangsaan Singapura, Malaysia, Filipina, dan tentunya Indonesia.
Hal ini terinspirasi dari hobi belajar bahasa sekaligus aksara lain, saya belajar lagu kebangsaan tiap negara untuk mengenal lebih jauh sejarah-sejarah dan patriotisme suatu negara.
Dan ini pun menjadi kebiasaan dan saya selalu mendengar sekaligus menyanyikan lagu-lagu kebangsaan melalui komputer, YouTube, dan ponsel saya dan itu sudah menjadi hobi saya hingga sekarang.
Kini saya sudah duduk di bangku kuliah di salah satu universitas di Yogyakarta, Indonesia, kini saya sendiri sudah menghafal 58 lagu kebangsaan dan akan terus bertambah.
Saya berharap kalian dapat menikmatinya, kritik dan saran yang membangun saya terima, komentar rasis dan mencela akan saya hapus.

TERSEMBUNYI - Penangan Al-Marhum Datuk (Demo 2015)
Hah, first things that caught my attention from this CD is the Jawi script. Yes indeed, its really hard these days to see this ancient writing being used anywhere in Malaysia. Its almost wipe out from the Malays heart. Damn, very soon it will be extinct to the core just like the dinosour. Sad but true. Ok, my thanx to Andika of Jugra for sending me this unique CD. Yes indeed, I've never seen before any metal bands using Jawi as their text in the CD inlay. Tersembunyi seems the first one to promote this old writing so proudly. Ok, what we can have in this Penangan Al-Marhum Datuk is the old skool BM early 90s. Well, they have name it as Nusantara Pagan Black Metal. Hmm.. think about As Sahar era Primitively.. and Phenomistik then you can imagine their style. Its full of darker atmospheric touch which was dominated by the keyboard. Hah, sometimes it reminds me of the early days of BM in Malaysia where lots of eastern folks sounds was created in their rusty music. Yes indeed and their music almost like the old days which was totally raw, rusty and dirty kinda sounds. Hah, it could be due to budget constraint or maybe they want it that way. Hmm.. its kinda weird in the 21st century but then maybe they have their own reason hahaa.. Anyway lets talk more about this band and just forget about the sounds quality. Tersembunyi seems quite unknown to me until Andika introduced me their CD. As based on the trax featured I would assume that they have a bit similar objectives like Singhasari and Jugra. They were so much proud of the Malay or Nusantara roots and its heritage. You can clearly see in the trax 7 - Keris & Pemuras which was featured the Malay folk/traditional music. They were so much inspired by the supremacy of the ancient Malays warriors who are so brave to fight for their pride and dignity. Ok, we have 8 trax available in this demo or should I say a debut album which all of them are in Bahasa Melayu and written in Jawi. Hmm.. quite mysterious band actually coz until now I didnt know the real members. Not much info also available in the net. Anyway Tersembunyi is actually one of the members in the Darah & Maruah movement. Ok, its a good stuffs and you are recommended to try this at home. The word "Jawi" (جاوي) is an adjective for the Arabic noun Jawah (جاوة). Both terms may have originated from the term "Javadwipa", the ancient name for Java. "Jawah" and "Jawi" may have been used by the Arabs as the catch-all terms in referring to the entire Maritime Southeast Asia and its peoples, similar to the kind of understanding by the later Europeans when coining the terms Malay Archipelago and Malay race.

Malay language
Malay (/məˈleɪ/;Malay: Bahasa Melayu; Jawi alphabet: بهاس ملايو) is a major language of the Austronesian family. It has an official status in Brunei, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. It is spoken by 270 million people across the Strait of Malacca, including the coasts of the Malay Peninsula of Malaysia and the eastern coast of Sumatra in Indonesia, and has been established as a native language of part of western coastal Sarawak and West Kalimantan in Borneo.
As the Bahasa Kebangsaan or Bahasa Nasional (National Language) of several states, Standard Malay has various official names. In Singapore and Brunei it is called Bahasa Melayu (Malay language); in Malaysia, Bahasa Malaysia (Malaysian language); and in Indonesia, Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian language) and is designated the Bahasa Persatuan/Pemersatu ("unifying language/lingua franca"). National anthem
A national anthem (also state anthem, national hymn, national song etc.) is a generally patriotic musical composition that evokes and eulogizes the history, traditions and struggles of its people, recognized either by a nation's government as the official national song, or by convention through use by the people. I've started learning the other national anthems since 2011 when i was in 8th grade at Sekolah Menengah Pertama (in English: Secondary School) and then i had mastered Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and also Indonesia. Inspired by learning an other language and script, i really interested to learn other anthem to know the country's history and patriotism. Then, it became unstoppable and i always hear an other anthems in YouTube or in PC and phone. It became the hobby to sing this until now. Currently i'm now a student of Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and now i've mastered 54 anthems and still counting... Saya pertama kali belajar lagu-lagu kebangsaan lain sejak tahun 2011 ketika masih duduk di bangku SMP kelas 2, saat itu saya sudah hafal lagu kebangsaan Singapura, Malaysia, Filipina, dan tentunya Indonesia. Hal ini terinspirasi dari hobi belajar bahasa sekaligus aksara lain, saya belajar lagu kebangsaan tiap negara untuk mengenal lebih jauh sejarah-sejarah dan patriotisme suatu negara. Dan ini pun menjadi kebiasaan dan saya selalu mendengar sekaligus menyanyikan lagu-lagu kebangsaan melalui komputer, YouTube, dan ponsel saya dan itu sudah menjadi hobi saya hingga sekarang. Kini saya sudah duduk di bangku kuliah di salah satu universitas di Yogyakarta, Indonesia, kini saya sendiri sudah menghafal 58 lagu kebangsaan dan akan terus bertambah. TERSEMBUNYI - Penangan Al-Marhum Datuk (Demo 2015) Hah, first things that caught my attention from this CD is the Jawi script. Yes indeed, its really hard these days to see this ancient writing being used anywhere in Malaysia. Its almost wipe out from the Malays heart. Damn, very soon it will be extinct to the core just like the dinosour. Sad but true. Ok, my thanx to Andika of Jugra for sending me this unique CD. Yes indeed, I've never seen before any metal bands using Jawi as their text in the CD inlay. Tersembunyi seems the first one to promote this old writing so proudly. Ok, what we can have in this Penangan Al-Marhum Datuk is the old skool BM early 90s. Well, they have name it as Nusantara Pagan Black Metal. Hmm.. think about As Sahar era Primitively.. and Phenomistik then you can imagine their style. Its full of darker atmospheric touch which was dominated by the keyboard. Hah, sometimes it reminds me of the early days of BM in Malaysia where lots of eastern folks sounds was created in their rusty music. Yes indeed and their music almost like the old days which was totally raw, rusty and dirty kinda sounds. Hah, it could be due to budget constraint or maybe they want it that way. Hmm.. its kinda weird in the 21st century but then maybe they have their own reason hahaa.. Anyway lets talk more about this band and just forget about the sounds quality. Tersembunyi seems quite unknown to me until Andika introduced me their CD. As based on the trax featured I would assume that they have a bit similar objectives like Singhasari and Jugra. They were so much proud of the Malay or Nusantara roots and its heritage. You can clearly see in the trax 7 - Keris & Pemuras which was featured the Malay folk/traditional music. They were so much inspired by the supremacy of the ancient Malays warriors who are so brave to fight for their pride and dignity. Ok, we have 8 trax available in this demo or should I say a debut album which all of them are in Bahasa Melayu and written in Jawi. Hmm.. quite mysterious band actually coz until now I didnt know the real members. Not much info also available in the net. Anyway Tersembunyi is actually one of the members in the Darah & Maruah movement. Ok, its a good stuffs and you are recommended to try this at home. JAWI is commonly used in the Malay Archipelago, which is located in the Southeast Asia, during the older days. However, as time goes by, the Jawi Script is being replaced with a simplified version called Rumi. Jawi is no longer being seen or written in Singapore, except for religious purposes. Therefore, I have decided to expose Jawi Script to the younger generation of the Malay Community to appreaciate it's beauty and art, as well as making Jawi Script as a part of their identity!

Lagu ciptaan penggubah Perancis, Pierre Jean de Beranger (1780-1857) ini, kemudiannya telah diberikan seni kata baru dan dinamakan "Allah Lanjutkan Usia Sultan" seterusnya dijadikan lagu rasmi Negeri Perak Darul Ridzuan.
Lagu rasmi negeri Perak "Allah Lanjutkan Usia Sultan" ini telah dipilih menjadi lagu kebangsaan Persekutuan Tanah Melayu oleh jemaah hakim yang diketuai oleh YTM Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj pada 5 Ogos 1957. Upacara pemilihan lagu kebangsaan ini berlangsung di Dewan Polis Depoh, Kuala Lumpur.
Sebanyak 4 buah lagu telah diperdengarkan oleh Pasukan Pancaragam Polis Diraja. Lagu Allah Lanjutkan Usia Sultan telah terpilih. Keputusan jemaah hakim ini kemudian telah dikemukakan kepada Majlis Raja-raja Melayu.
Setelah dipersetujui, kerajaan telah mengeluarkan tawaran RM1,000 kepada pengubah untuk mencipta seni katanya. Tawaran ini telah dimenangi oleh Encik Saiful Bahri dan lagu kebangsaan 'Negaraku' gubahan beliau terdapat dalam 3 versi.
Lagu Negaraku telah ditukar rentak kepada rentak yang lebih rancak oleh Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, Perdana Menteri Malaysia ke-4. Lagu Negaraku berentak baru dipersembahkan buat kali pertama pada sambutan Ambang Merdeka di Dataran Merdeka tengah malam 30 Ogos 2003.
Lagu Negaraku berentak baru itu dimainkan selepas Perdana Menteri Malaysia yang keempat, Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad melaungkan "Merdeka" sebanyak tujuh kali.

I've made the Brunei national anthem cover by myself including lyrics in Malay with Jawi script, and English for all Bruneians and all viewers worldwide.
I've started learning the other national anthems since 2011 when i was in 8th grade at Sekolah Menengah Pertama (in English: Secondary School) and then i had mastered Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and also Indonesia.
Inspired by learning an other language and script, i really interested to learn other anthem to know the country's history and patriotism.
Then, it became unstoppable and i always hear an other anthems in YouTube or in PC and phone. It became the hobby to sing this until now. Currently i'm now a student of Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and now i've mastered 54 anthems and still counting...

Saya membuat lagu kebangsaan Brunei Darussalam yang dibuat oleh saya sendiri beserta lirik dalam bahasa Melayu juga huruf Jawi, dan Inggeris untuk semua rakyat Brunei Darussalam maupun bangsa lain.
Saya pertama kali belajar lagu-lagu kebangsaan lain sejak tahun 2011 ketika masih duduk di bangku SMP kelas 2, saat itu saya sudah hafal lagu kebangsaan Singapura, Malaysia, Filipina, dan tentunya Indonesia.
Hal ini terinspirasi dari hobi belajar bahasa sekaligus aksara lain, saya belajar lagu kebangsaan tiap negara untuk mengenal lebih jauh sejarah-sejarah dan patriotisme suatu negara.
Dan ini pun menjadi kebiasaan dan saya selalu mendengar sekaligus menyanyikan lagu-lagu kebangsaan melalui komputer, YouTube, dan ponsel saya dan itu sudah menjadi hobi saya hingga sekarang.
Kini saya sudah duduk di bangku kuliah di salah satu universitas di Yogyakarta, Indonesia, kini saya sendiri sudah menghafal 58 lagu kebangsaan dan akan terus bertambah.

TERSEMBUNYI - Penangan Al-Marhum Datuk (Demo 2015)
Hah, first things that caught my attention from this CD is the Jawi script. Yes indeed, its really hard these days to see this ancient writing being used anywhere in Malaysia. Its almost wipe out from the Malays heart. Damn, very soon it will be extinct to the core just like the dinosour. Sad but true. Ok, my thanx to Andika of Jugra for sending me this unique CD. Yes indeed, I've never seen before any metal bands using Jawi as their text in the CD inlay. Tersembunyi seems the first one to promote this old writing so proudly. Ok, what we can have in this Penangan Al-Marhum Datuk is the old skool BM early 90s. Well, they have name it as Nusantara Pagan Black Metal. Hmm.. think about As Sahar era Primitively.. and Phenomistik then you can imagine their style. Its full of darker atmospheric touch which was dominated by the keyboard. Hah, sometimes it reminds me of the early days of BM in Malaysia where lots of eastern folks sounds was created in their rusty music. Yes indeed and their music almost like the old days which was totally raw, rusty and dirty kinda sounds. Hah, it could be due to budget constraint or maybe they want it that way. Hmm.. its kinda weird in the 21st century but then maybe they have their own reason hahaa.. Anyway lets talk more about this band and just forget about the sounds quality. Tersembunyi seems quite unknown to me until Andika introduced me their CD. As based on the trax featured I would assume that they have a bit similar objectives like Singhasari and Jugra. They were so much proud of the Malay or Nusantara roots and its heritage. You can clearly see in the trax 7 - Keris & Pemuras which was featured the Malay folk/traditional music. They were so much inspired by the supremacy of the ancient Malays warriors who are so brave to fight for their pride and dignity. Ok, we have 8 trax available in this demo or should I say a debut album which all of them are in Bahasa Melayu and written in Jawi. Hmm.. quite mysterious band actually coz until now I didnt know the real members. Not much info also available in the net. Anyway Tersembunyi is actually one of the members in the Darah & Maruah movement. Ok, its a good stuffs and you are recommended to try this at home. It was unleashed by the Produksi Purnama with the collaboration of the MTD Prod. So, just ask the label at mtd_prod666@yahoo.com for a copy ~ Mr Ed Sangwitok
