Shalini covers the latest advancements in materials and bio-related science/technology. She received her BS in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and her PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Shalini has previously researched at the National Institutes of Health and the National Cancer Institute on cancer therapeutics and neutrophil chemotaxis. Her PhD research involved the development of tunable hydrogel nanoparticle assemblies as a biomaterial platform. Shalini is currently running a lab in industry performing exploratory research on polymers. When outside of the lab, Shalini enjoys painting, drawing, jewelry-making, photography, and crafts.
