Wests Tigers coach Jason Taylor is sacked after team is bottom of the ladder after three rounds

Jason Taylor has been sacked as Wests Tigers coach with immediate effect.
The decision comes a day after the Tigers' 46-6 thrashing at the hands of the Raiders at Canberra Stadium, the club's second loss from the opening three rounds of the premiership.
"Our position has always been to make sure that the head club's contract is tied to performance and that hasn't changed," Wests Tigers chair Marina Go said in a statement.
"We are committed to building a side that will be in a position to win NRL premierships and believe that this decision is the correct one for the future of the club.
"This is a challenging time for the club and Jason and we ask that we are given time to work through this process with Jason," said Go.
Current Tigers assistant coach Andrew Webster will take on the role of interim head coach.
Taylor took over as Tigers coach in 2015 and it is the second occasion he has had a head coaching contract terminated after he was sacked from South Sydney in 2009.
More to come.
