Canberra has continued its dominance of Wests Tigers with a 46-6 thrashing, giving it its first victory of the NRL season.

After running up a combined score of 112-16 in their two encounters last season, the Raiders were ruthless at Canberra Stadium on Sunday afternoon, scoring eight tries to one.

Captain Jarrod Croker made a sterling return from a knee injury while Jordan Rapana showed how dangerous he could be in attack with a double that took his record to eight tries in his past three matches against the Tigers.

Sharks v Dragons

The Dragons snared their second win of the year, shocking Cronulla at Shark Park.

Coming off a 42-16 thumping of the Raiders, the defending premiers slumped to a 16-10 loss to the Dragons, who have defied expectations early in the season.

Euan Aitken's first-half double sparked the victory, with Cronulla mounting a two-try comeback after the break.

But a 64th-minute penalty goal by Gareth Widdop pushed the Dragons' lead out to a converted try.
