Two people robbed at knifepoint in Yarralumla car park

Police are calling for witnesses to an aggravated robbery in a Yarralumla car park on Friday night.

Around 11:40pm, a man and a woman were sitting in their parked car off Alexandria Drive when a dark coloured vehicle parked behind them, blocking them from leaving.

A man wearing a green-black balaclava then got out of the car carrying a knife and approached the woman in the passenger seat. He held the knife through the passenger window and demanded the pair hand over their wallets.

After they complied, the offender got back in his car and left the scene.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, anything suspicious or suspicious vehicles around this area to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Please quote reference number 6083421. Information can be provided anonymously.
