Group photos of G-20 leaders...[edit]

Should the group photos of the G-20 leaders be put in a separate topic? Rockies77 (talk) 05:46, 21 February 2014 (UTC)

Yes, the group photos should have an extra page, because the G20 are the most expensive photo op on the globe. I came to the G20 page to ascertain which achievements can be attributed to the G20 and found NONE, nix, de nada, nitchevo. Norway should be glad they don't have to spend money on such a photo op. If the G20 was fit for purpose we would not have had the global financial crisis in 2008, i.e. 9 years after G20 was formed. I feel duped. 121.209.56.31 (talk) 04:37, 15 October 2014 (UTC)

G20, without the hyphen[edit]

The official page https://www.g20.org/ doesn't use the hyphen - they consistently refer to the "G20". I suggest that we should do the same.

Note that I propose changing "G-20" to "G20" but not making any other change to the article title. (I see there has been previous discussion about the title.) Mitch Ames (talk) 01:58, 16 November 2014 (UTC)

Australia GDP[edit]

Australia's nominal GDP is listed as more than $30 trillion USD. The number is beyond absurd. The article on Australia lists their nominal GPD as $1.483 trillion USD which sounds much more realistic.

To add to the above (unsigned) comment, the population of Germany is probably not the same as China. It may be that it's been switched with the EU pop, but it needs someone more knowledgeable to check that. 86.16.201.199 (talk) 23:00, 13 January 2015 (UTC)

Error[edit]

The infobox stated that the "Heads of state" meeting was formed in 2008. This is incorrect, as many countries such as Australia, Canada, Japan, Italy, the UK, India and Germany send their Head of government as opposed to Head of state. I have now fixed this. Putin statement[edit]

I reverted sentence "In November 2015, President Putin of Russia claimed on Russian television that private individuals of some member states of the G20 were responsible for the funding of ISIS. "

I don't think that Putin's statement about "private individuals" relevant to this article. Especially no proof is presented that it is true. - üser:Altenmann >t 16:37, 21 November 2015 (UTC)

– Use of "G-20" vs "G20" (without hyphen) is inconsistent across Wikipedia. Even though "G-20" appears in more article titles than "G20", within single articles both uses often occur. 2014 G20 Brisbane summit and 2006 G20 ministerial meeting use "G20", and although it might be unusual to bring the majority in line with the minority, the WP:OFFICIAL name (what the G20 calls itself) and the WP:COMMONNAME (what the group is commonly known as) are both "G20" and that should be what is used. This would also be consistent with "G8" and "G7" etc which seem to be the majority of uses in Wikipedia (compared to "G-8" and "G-7"). If these moves are agreed I will undertake to ensure consistency of the use of G20 throughout the articles and fix G20 (disambiguation) Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 11:05, 4 June 2016 (UTC)

@Lugnuts: Yes, you're right about List of G-20 summits. If this proposal achieves consensus I'll move that page too as not contentious. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 04:57, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
