A car has been left hanging five storeys in the air, after crashing through the barriers at the Mater Hospital car park in South Brisbane on Friday afternoon.
A Mater Hospital spokeswoman said it took about 90 minutes to clear the car from the scene, after emergency services were called about 1.15pm.
The spokeswoman added it was believed the male driver had hit the accelerator instead of the brake and temporary barriers were in place at the edge of the car park.

Queensland Fire Service spokeswoman said there was a lone occupant inside the car, who was assessed by paramedics at the scene, but didn't need treatment.

Four fire crews anchored the vehicle before a tow truck arrived on scene and cutting equipment wasn't needed as the driver exited the vehicle himself.
