Collapsed state[edit]
Initial visibility
To set the template's initial visibility, the |state=
parameter may be used:
|state=collapsed
: {{Medicinal herbs & fungi|state=collapsed}} to show the template collapsed, i.e., hidden apart from its title bar|state=expanded
: {{Medicinal herbs & fungi|state=expanded}} to show the template expanded, i.e., fully visible|state=autocollapse
: {{Medicinal herbs & fungi|state=autocollapse}}- shows the template collapsed to the title bar if there is a {{navbar}}, a {{sidebar}}, or some other table on the page with the collapsible attribute
- shows the template in its expanded state if there are no other collapsible items on the page
|state=
parameter is not set, the template's initial visibility is taken from the |default=
parameter in the template. For this template, that currently evaluates to autocollapse
.
Usage[edit]
When placing this template on the article pages, please use the following guidelines:
- Place the template below any taxonomic templates. E.G., the {{Capsicum cultivars}} template would go first on the Chili powder article.
- If there is a related template, such as those listed below, the template that best reflects the contents of the article should go first. E.G. If the herb or spice primary use is medicinal, place the medicinal herb template first.
