A tale of blind doctors and good illnesses
If we do not take that power back from the people who have it now, they will find ways to maintain it, either in a post-scarcity world where they use things like intellectual property to maintain control, or in a world of more dire ecological crisis, in which they run away and hide while the rest of us die.
We need to stop saying “Just when we thought it couldn’t get any worse…” Who seriously thinks it can’t get any worse? Still, there are things we can do–or rather, not do.
There is a new migrating subject who does not exist in the eye of the law. She is the victim of forced displacement that happens where there is no war.
