Our student diary is an essential resource for VU students. It provides key dates, events, contacts and useful tips.
It has:
- a print run of 30,000 issues that are distributed free to all VU students each year
- the potential to reach all 50,000 students over the course of a year
- a one-off cost for advertising.

HYDE magazine
HYDE magazine features articles written exclusively by VU students. It aims to create a sense of community between campuses.
It has an annual print run of 2,000 issues is distributed free to students across our eight Melbourne campuses and community locations in the western suburbs.

Advertise on campus
Advertise your business across our campuses. You can do this by holding a stall or running a roaming promotion.
Promotional stalls
You can register to hold a stall in the main courtyards at our Footscray Park, City Flinders or St Albans campuses. You can have a stall any time during semester or during a specific student event to further target your audience.

- V4U: student and staff community volunteer day (October)
Rates: $880 (inc. GST) per day during Orientation Month or $550 per day (other days).
Included: 2m x 2m space under a central marquee (Orientation Month) or 3m x 3m space (other days) plus power, one trestle table and two stools.
Roaming promotions
Roam freely around our campuses and promote your business to students. Engage with students on a personal level at key events for wider engagement. You can capture your audience with fun promotional activities, corporate costumes, giveaways and more.
Rates: $880 per day (Orientation Month) or $350 per day (other days).
Advertise at our events
Sponsor one of our major student events and build your profile among our students, staff, community, and partner organisations.
Sponsorship options could include:
- your company logo on promotional event materials
- participation in judging panels (for relevant events)
- presentation at conferences and events
- advertising in conference and event packs.
- National Campus Band and DJ competitions (July-August): support VU’s upcoming musical talents. Winners of the VU Heat proceed onto the state and/or national finals.
Key events
- V4U – Volunteer 4 U Day (May): A day on which hundreds of VU students and staff donate their time to volunteer for Maribyrnong community organisations and projects.
- Student Leadership Conference (September): Up to 150 students, industry experts and community leaders gather for a day of learning and networking.
- Student Leadership Awards (September): An annual awards event that celebrates student achievements and contributions to the University and community.
