    Here's a quick look at some freezing stats for the D.C. Metro. While it seems like the winter has been long (at least to me), the numbers show a different story. In fact, only 10 days have had freezing temps since Feb. 1st!

  6. The Northeast was also hammered last year between March 14-16. Parts of New York received over 30 inches of snow from that storm. -

    I had a chance to help some of the 2nd graders with their Severe Weather reports. I was able to get a few of these students on . Wonderful little meteorologists!

    While much of the east coast has experienced near to slightly above normal snowfall, DC is still hanging at 3.7" for the winter, 11.3" below normal. Maybe next year...

    Remembering the Blizzard of 1993: March 12-14 marks the 25th anniversary of the "Storm of the Century." With a minimum pressure equivalent to a Category 3 hurricane, the storm produced crippling snow across PA & bone-chilling cold in its wake.
