Jack Leon Ruby (born Jacob Leon Rubenstein; March 25, 1911[1] – January 3, 1967) was a nightclub operator in Dallas, Texas. On November 24, 1963, Ruby fatally shot Lee Harvey Oswald, who was in police custody after being charged with the murder of President John F. Kennedy two days earlier. A Dallas jury found Ruby guilty of murdering Oswald, and Ruby was sentenced to death. Later, Ruby appealed his conviction, had it overturned and was granted a new trial. As the date for his new trial was being set,[2] Ruby became ill and died of a pulmonary embolism due to lung cancer, being constitutionally presumed innocent at the time.[3][4]

Ruby was originally from Chicago, Illinois; he moved to Dallas in 1947. On November 24, 1963, Ruby shot and killed Lee Harvey Oswald, the man who (according to four government investigations) assassinated President John F. Kennedy. A Dallas jury found Ruby guilty of murdering Oswald and Ruby was sentenced to death. Later, Ruby appealed his conviction and death sentence and was granted a new trial. As the date for his new trial was being set, Ruby became ill and died of lung cancer.

Following Ruby's March 1964 conviction for murder with malice, Ruby's lawyers, led by Sam Houston Clinton, appealed to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, the highest criminal court in Texas. Ruby's lawyers argued that he could not have received a fair trial in Dallas because of the excessive publicity surrounding the case. A year after his conviction, in March 1965, Ruby conducted a brief televised news conference in which he stated: "Everything pertaining to what's happening has never come to the surface. The world will never know the true facts of what occurred, my motives. The people who had so much to gain, and had such an ulterior motive for putting me in the position I'm in, will never let the true facts come above board to the world." When asked by a reporter, "Are these people in very high positions Jack?", he responded "Yes."
Dallas Deputy Sheriff Al Maddox claimed: "Ruby told me, he said, 'Well, they injected me for a cold.' He said it was cancer cells. That's what he told me, Ruby did. I said you don't believe that bullshit. He said, 'I damn sure do!' [Then] one day when I started to leave, Ruby shook hands with me and I could feel a piece of paper in his palm... [In this note] he said it was a conspiracy and he said ... if you will keep your eyes open and your mouth shut, you're gonna learn a lot. And that was the last letter I ever got from him."
Not long before Ruby died, according to an article in the London Sunday Times, he told psychiatrist Werner Teuter that the assassination was "an act of overthrowing the government" and that he knew "who had President Kennedy killed." He added: "I am doomed. I do not want to die. But I am not insane. I was framed to kill Oswald."
Eventually, the appellate court agreed with Ruby's lawyers for a new trial, and on October 5, 1966, ruled that his motion for a change of venue before the original trial court should have been granted. Ruby's conviction and death sentence were overturned. Arrangements were underway for a new trial to be held in February 1967 in Wichita Falls, Texas, when on December 9, 1966, Ruby was admitted to Parkland Hospital in Dallas, suffering from pneumonia.
According to an unnamed Associated Press source, Ruby made a final statement from his hospital bed on December 19 that he alone had been responsible for the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald. "There is nothing to hide... There was no one else," Ruby said.
Journalist Seth Kantor — who testified that on the day of the assassination, he encountered Ruby at Parkland Hospital — also reported that Ruby might have tampered with evidence while at Parkland. Goaded by the Warren Commission's dismissal of his testimony, Kantor researched the Ruby case for years. In a later published book Who Was Jack Ruby?, Kantor wrote:
The mob was Ruby's "friend." And Ruby could well have been paying off an IOU the day he was used to kill Lee Harvey Oswald. Remember: "I have been used for a purpose," the way Ruby expressed it to Chief Justice Warren in their June 7, 1964 session. It would not have been hard for the mob to maneuver Ruby through the ranks of a few negotiable police [to kill Oswald].
In his book, Contract on America, David Scheim presented evidence that Mafia leaders Carlos Marcello, Santo Trafficante, Jr. and Jimmy Hoffa ordered the assassination of President Kennedy. Scheim cited in particular a 25-fold increase in the number of out-of-state telephone calls from Jack Ruby to associates of these crime bosses in the months before the assassination. According to Vincent Bugliosi, both the Warren Commission and the House Select Committee on Assassinations determined all of these calls were related to Ruby seeking help from the American Guild of Variety Artists in a matter concerning two of his competitors.
In his memoir, Bound by Honor, Bill Bonanno, son of New York Mafia boss Joseph Bonanno, stated that he realized that certain Mafia families were involved in the JFK assassination when Ruby killed Oswald, since Bonanno was aware that Ruby was an associate of Chicago mobster Sam Giancana.

Jack Ruby, was a Jamaican record producer and sound system operator, best known for his 1970s productions of artists such as Burning Spear.
Ruby was based in Ocho Rios and during his time was the only major Jamaican record producer not headquartered in Kingston. He ran the Jack Ruby Hi Fi sound system and is considered one of the best roots reggae producers of the 1970s, having established a distinctive sound, noted for the unique use of horn arrangements. Ruby produced Burning Spear's Marcus Garvey and Man in the Hills albums, both of which were licensed to Island Records, establishing Spear as an international success. Other artists that he produced include Justin Hinds (Just in Time/Jezebel),The Gaylads, The Heptones, and Big Youth.
Ruby appeared as himself in the film Rockers, which also features Kiddus I recording "Graduation in Zion" in Ruby's studio.
In the 1980s he suffered from ill-health and his productions were less regular, although he produced the debut album by Foundation in 1988.
His son, who works under the name Jack Ruby Jr. is a deejay who has worked with The Toasters, and his grandson is the popular singer Sean Kingston.

Ruby
A ruby is a pink to blood-red colored gemstone, a variety of the mineral corundum (aluminium oxide). The red color is caused mainly by the presence of the element chromium. Its name comes from ruber, Latin for red. Other varieties of gem-quality corundum are called sapphires. Ruby is considered one of the four precious stones, together with sapphire, emerald and diamond.
Prices of rubies are primarily determined by color.The brightest and most valuable "red" called blood-red or "pigeon blood", commands a large premium over other rubies of similar quality. After color follows clarity: similar to diamonds, a clear stone will command a premium, but a ruby without any needle-like rutile inclusions may indicate that the stone has been treated. Cut and carat (weight) are also an important factor in determining the price. Ruby is the traditional birthstone for July and is always lighter red or pink than garnet. The world's most expensive ruby is the Sunrise Ruby.

Lee Harvey Oswald
Lee Harvey Oswald (October 18, 1939 – November 24, 1963) was an American sniper who assassinated President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. According to five U.S. government investigations, Oswald shot and killed Kennedy as he traveled by motorcade through Dealey Plaza in the city of Dallas, Texas.
Oswald was a former U.S. Marine who defected to the Soviet Union in October 1959. He lived in the city of Minsk in Belarus until June 1962, at which time he returned to the United States. Oswald was initially arrested for the murder of police officer J. D. Tippit, who was killed on a Dallas street approximately 45 minutes after President Kennedy was shot. Oswald was later charged with the murder of President Kennedy; he denied shooting anybody, saying that he was a patsy. Two days later, while being transferred from police headquarters to the county jail, Oswald was shot and mortally wounded by Dallas nightclub owner Jack Ruby in full view of television cameras broadcasting live.

John Fitzgerald "Jack" Kennedy (May 29, 1917 – November 22, 1963), commonly referred to by his initials JFK, was an American politician who served as the 35th President of the United States from January 1961 until his assassination in November 1963. The Cuban Missile Crisis, The Bay of Pigs Invasion, the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, the establishment of the Peace Corps, developments in the Space Race, the building of the Berlin Wall, the Civil Rights Movement, the "New Frontier" domestic program,and abolition of the federal death penalty in the District of Columbia all took place during his presidency. Kennedy also avoided any significant increase in the American presence in Vietnam, refusing to commit combat troops and keeping the level of others, mostly military advisors, to only 16,000, compared to the 536,000 troops committed by his successor, Lyndon Johnson, by 1968.
Kennedy's time in office is also marked by high tensions with Communist states, particularly Cuba. An attempt in April 1961 at the Bay of Pigs to overthrow the country's dictator, Fidel Castro, was thwarted by armed forces within three days. His administration subsequently rejected plans by the Joint Chiefs of Staff to orchestrate false-flag attacks on American soil in order to gain public approval for a war against Cuba. In October 1962, it was discovered Soviet ballistic missiles had been deployed in Cuba; the resulting period of unease, often termed the Cuban Missile Crisis, is seen by many historians as the closest the human race has ever come to war featuring the use of nuclear weapons on both or multiple sides.

JACK RUBY 28th ANNIVERSARY 1986 BRIGADIER JERRY,GENERAL TREES,EARLY B,TIGER,JOSEY WALES,SLIM BROWN AND M.C. BARRY G. Jack Ruby, was a Jamaican record producer and sound system operator, best known for his 1970s productions of artists such as Burning Spear. Ruby was based in Ocho Rios and during his time was the only major Jamaican record producer not headquartered in Kingston. He ran the Jack Ruby Hi Fi sound system and is considered one of the best roots reggae producers of the 1970s, having established a distinctive sound, noted for the unique use of horn arrangements. Ruby produced Burning Spear's Marcus Garvey and Man in the Hills albums, both of which were licensed to Island Records, establishing Spear as an international success. Other artists that he produced include Justin Hinds (Just in Time/Jezebel),The Gaylads, The Heptones, and Big Youth. Ruby appeared as himself in the film Rockers, which also features Kiddus I recording "Graduation in Zion" in Ruby's studio. In the 1980s he suffered from ill-health and his productions were less regular, although he produced the debut album by Foundation in 1988. His son, who works under the name Jack Ruby Jr. is a deejay who has worked with The Toasters, and his grandson is the popular singer Sean Kingston.

We've come to know it as the "Magic Bullet Theory." This single-bullet explanation is the foundation of the Warren Commission's claim of a lone assassin. Once you conclude the magic bullet could not create all seven of those wounds, you'd have to conclude that there was a fourth shot and a second rifle. And if there was a second rifleman, then by definition, there had to be a conspiracy.

A year after his conviction, in March 1965, Ruby conducted a brief televised news conference in which he stated: "Everything pertaining to what's happening has never come to the surface. The world will never know the true facts of what occurred, my motives. The people who had so much to gain, and had such an ulterior motive for putting me in the position I'm in, will never let the true facts come above board to the world." When asked by a reporter, "Are these people in very high positions Jack?", he responded "Yes."
Dallas Deputy Sheriff Al Maddox claimed: "Ruby told me, he said, 'Well, they injected me for a cold.' He said it was cancer cells. That's what he told me, Ruby did. I said you don't believe that bullshit. He said, 'I damn sure do!' [Then] one day when I started to leave, Ruby shook hands with me and I could feel a piece of paper in his palm... [In this note] he said it was a conspiracy and he said ... if you will keep your eyes open and your mouth shut, you're gonna learn a lot. And that was the last letter I ever got from him."
Not long before Ruby died, according to an article in the London Sunday Times, he told psychiatrist Werner Teuter that the assassination was "an act of overthrowing the government" and that he knew "who had President Kennedy killed." He added: "I am doomed. I do not want to die. But I am not insane. I was framed to kill Oswald."
Eventually, the appellate court agreed with Ruby's lawyers for a new trial, and on October 5, 1966, ruled that his motion for a change of venue before the original trial court should have been granted. Ruby's conviction and death sentence were overturned. Arrangements were underway for a new trial to be held in February 1967 in Wichita Falls, Texas, when on December 9, 1966, Ruby was admitted to Parkland Hospital in Dallas, suffering from pneumonia.
According to an unnamed Associated Press source, Ruby made a final statement from his hospital bed on December 19 that he alone had been responsible for the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald. "There is nothing to hide... There was no one else," Ruby said.
Journalist Seth Kantor — who testified that on the day of the assassination, he encountered Ruby at Parkland Hospital — also reported that Ruby might have tampered with evidence while at Parkland. Goaded by the Warren Commission's dismissal of his testimony, Kantor researched the Ruby case for years. In a later published book Who Was Jack Ruby?, Kantor wrote:
The mob was Ruby's "friend." And Ruby could well have been paying off an IOU the day he was used to kill Lee Harvey Oswald. Remember: "I have been used for a purpose," the way Ruby expressed it to Chief Justice Warren in their June 7, 1964 session. It would not have been hard for the mob to maneuver Ruby through the ranks of a few negotiable police [to kill Oswald].
In his book, Contract on America, David Scheim presented evidence that Mafia leaders Carlos Marcello, Santo Trafficante, Jr. and Jimmy Hoffa ordered the assassination of President Kennedy. Scheim cited in particular a 25-fold increase in the number of out-of-state telephone calls from Jack Ruby to associates of these crime bosses in the months before the assassination. According to Vincent Bugliosi, both the Warren Commission and the House Select Committee on Assassinations determined all of these calls were related to Ruby seeking help from the American Guild of Variety Artists in a matter concerning two of his competitors.
In his memoir, Bound by Honor, Bill Bonanno, son of New York Mafia boss Joseph Bonanno, stated that he realized that certain Mafia families were involved in the JFK assassination when Ruby killed Oswald, since Bonanno was aware that Ruby was an associate of Chicago mobster Sam Giancana.

August 1964 - Interview with Jack Ruby stripper Little Lynn in Fort Worth, Texas
Little Lynn interviewed in the Skyliner Ballroom in Fort Worth, Texas Karen Bennett Carlin, whose stage name was "Little Lynn," was one of the last people to speak with Jack Ruby before he shot Lee Harvey Oswald. On Sunday morning, November 24, 1963, Mrs. Carlin had a telephone conversation with Ruby, in which she asked him for a $25.00 advance so that she would be able to pay her rent and buy groceries. Ruby agreed and volunteered to stop at the Western Union office and send her a money order, as he said he had business in downtown Dallas that afternoon. Ruby drove into the downtown area, parked across the street from the Western Union office, paid for the money order, and then walked the few remaining blocks to the Dallas Police Department, where he shot Oswald.

On Sunday morning, November 24, 1963, Mrs. Carlin had a telephone conversation with Ruby, in which she asked him for a $25.00 advance so that she would be able to pay her rent and buy groceries. Ruby agreed and volunteered to stop at the Western Union office and send her a money order, as he said he had business in downtown Dallas that afternoon. Ruby drove into the downtown area, parked across the street from the Western Union office, paid for the money order, and then walked the few remaining blocks to the Dallas Police Department, where he shot Oswald.

LBJ makes an incredible mistake with his first answer by undermining the purpose of his Warren Commission. His supposed doubts about international connections opens the door for Uncle Walter to question the conclusions of the WC. LBJ tries to close it again at 0:55. But Cronkite walks right in and LBJ fumbles big time as he realizes what a hole he has dug himself. He starts to address the WC conclusions, but then launches into a defense of the Commission's integrity instead, realizing that he can only make things worse by talking specifics. At 1:25 a wonderful subtle snarl stirs the left corner of his mouth as he regrets letting Uncle Walter into the ranch. Then his obfuscating generalities hit the name "Oswald," and he pauses, realizing that he did not want to speak that name and closes his eyes in despair, before continuing to the ultimate flub, "others that could have been involved." This is the former President of the United States here, not some schlub who just read a Mark Lane book, and he's talking about the motivations of Oswald and others who might have been involved, to Walter Fucking Cronkite. What can he do now, but ask Cronkite not to broadcast this unbelievable answer? And our kindly Uncle Walter obliges.
It seems weird that LBJ would bring up "international connections" 6 years later, but this is part of the original cover story. There had to be an implication of international connections in order to convince Earl Warren and others that confirming the lone gunman theory was necessary to avoiding the possibility of WW3. "Oswald Done It Himself," avoids Cuban and Soviet involvement. The conspirators provided just enough false implication of international connections to create a reason for relatively honest men to join the cover up.
Ruby's Warren Commission testimony is sometimes quoted out of context. There, he wants to talk to Lyndon Johnson, he says, to convince him that he was not involved with the Kennedy assassination plot. Perhaps the key point is that he wants to talk to Lyndon Johnson. He has just been sentenced to death for killing Oswald, and he had probably been promised to get off lightly, the way Mac Wallace had got away with murder. Later, he blames "the man in office now," and he never sounds more sane than when he says that. The Weissman ad was probably planted just to give him a reason to shoot Oswald. Why did he wake up George Senator in the middle of the night to go look at a billboard and go to the post office? Because Senator would make a good corroborating witness to his motivations. But, when Johnson didn't come through for him, he pointed the finger of blame.
It is interesting to note how close Ruby kept to Senator. In November 1962, Senator moved into a new apartment, and, according to Senator's testimony to the Warren Commission, within a week Ruby moved into the next door apartment. The adjoining apartment. They shared a wall. One year before the assassination Ruby moved in next door to his future character witness. This apartment was less than a mile away from Oswald's famous "backyard," and about 4 blocks from where Tippit would die. And this was about the same time that George de Mohrenschildt was getting to know his new friend Lee ("I think in the summer of 1962"), and about the same time that Michael Paine moved out of his house ("Michael moved to an apartment in September of 1962"). The scene was being set a year in advance.
That's Janet "Jada" Conforto, at this time, a former dancer in Ruby's club. She also mentioned in the video that she thought that Jack particularly didn't like Bobby Kennedy, which isn't surprising given the fact that Jack had gangster friends. It is also priceless how she looks at the interviewer when he suddenly starts talking as if she is not there. You'll find the interview is on YouTube somewhere, if you search for it. She died in the 70's riding her motorcycle when she was hit by a bus.
Jada, here, says that she doesn't think Ruby loved Kennedy that much. In part of this interview not shown here, she emphasizes how he disliked Bobby. I just yesterday saw another interview with another dancer who related how upset Ruby was with the assassination of his "beloved" president. This seems to be a contradiction, but when you realize that Jada had left the Carousel Club long before the assassination and that the other dancer was working there at the time of the assassination, then it makes sense. Ruby didn't like the Kennedys, but he was putting on to explain the motive for what he was about to do, to kill Oswald. Ruby was pretending to be upset that JFK had been murdered. He really didn't like the Kennedys.

One reason that I have little faith in true tax reform is that the existing tax proposals are mere sketches of tax legislation. These plans would likely fail a class assignment to submit an outline of a proposed paper. But what is there does not bode well for simplification of the system ... And the proposals don’t even address what is happening to the IRS budget ... So click the ruby shoes together and I’m sure it will be clear ... ....
