/R/Bowling Rules
A. No spam. All advice posts and discussions should be written as text submissions. Do not link to a blog or general bowling themed website. Active posters who have found a reasonable resource for something the community should know more about may post a link to outside resources. Links that are generally allowed are PBA/USBC news and information, achievement posts, critique requests, quality photos of bowling memorabilia, or tournament information. All links posted are subject to user voting without moderator influence.
B. No personal information. This applies primarily for achievement posts. Unless it is a national/state record breaking performance or sourced from a news outlet all posts should be edited to remove personal information. All photos of high scores should have no more than the initials of the bowlers visible. There are exceptions: if the poster's username is incorporated as part of the name being photographer, or the poster is on staff discussing equipment or events.
C. Selling of equipment is not allowed in this subreddit. Due to logistical issues such as payment, shipping, location, etc. we don't allow selling of equipment in this sub. If we did allow it, the sub would be spammed to hell by people trying to sell their old (often shitty) equipment. There is a subreddit called /r/bowlingmarket that you can try. Additionally, we encourage bowlers who cannot sell their equipment locally to donate their used equipment to their local youth programs to help get younger bowlers into the sport who may not be able to afford their own equipment.
