Are name brand tires worth the extra price? by jpeck81k25 in Frugal

[–]k_princess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who just bought some tires after a blowout, go with the cheapest ones that you can find that are the best quality.

This means that $700+ is a great price for good tires, and $500 is horrible for tires that won't make it a year.

Something like that, yes. I'm not going to say that it is 100% like that, but from my understanding that is what it is.

This one was born in Denver, CO. Not the one in New York that still has not shown itself to the world. :)

It's similar to a tiger. The stripes are on the body, and are shown through the fur. Or rather, the fur that grows on one part of the body is one color and the fur that grows on another part is another color.

Yep! They are keeping momma and baby away from the general public so that they can do their thing and he can get even stronger. :)

I've seen them used as a prank/fundraiser! People put a bunch in someone else's yard and then they pay $5-$20 to have them put in a different yard.

Can you imagine the horror of having to dine at a Burger King? And one short ride on public transportation??

I really wish this article were real and that this punk would have to play and have everyone else trip him.

I (24F) kind of have to choose between my sister (23F) and my fiance (29M) by gabriela111 in relationships

[–]k_princess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has your fiance apologized for his part of the argument? You say he went too far and knows he did. Did he apologize for that part of it? If not, he could write it and you can deliver it to your sister. He can officially apologize, and she can eat it. Then you need to choose whether you are going to live with your sister, or your fiance. Because I'm pretty sure this is going to go on until you break one of them off.

WA state is still in contempt of court for failing to adequately fund public ed by dgodon in Washington

[–]k_princess -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure that it completely is due to the education itself...teachers can only teach what they are given in terms of students. Okanogan county is not quite up there in terms of socio-economic status compared to King, and therefore the teachers are teaching a whole lot more than some King county teachers.

As I said in my other reply to another user, I know that everyone statewide is feeling the pinch. I am just finding it odd that there isn't more being said across the state. I'm in education, so I see on a daily basis how it is going to affect us all. So why isn't Spokane being as vocal as Seattle is? I know the show that is linked here is from the Seattle area, so that's why it's talking about Seattle area schools. But every single student in the state of Washington is going to be affected. Maybe I'm just hoping that the Seattle area folks can help spread the word more around the state and we can all figure this out and get a hold of our legislators.

[–]k_princess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm saying. It affects the entire state, so why isn't everyone talking about it? And forgive my earlier comment (partly), I was just remarking how it seems like the are only worried because of the Seattle area. I know this is a Seattle area based show, so that would be why they're discussing it with more localized people. But still, everyone should be talking about it.

Big surprise that this is the first time we're really hearing about this because Seattle schools are panicking. Newsflash: schools all across the state are being affected, and teachers and those affiliated with education statewide are worried just as much.
