| Press Council Chair addresses the National Press Club |
| The Chair of the Australian Press Council, Prof Julian Disney AO, has delivered an address to the National Press Club in Canberra, in which he reviewed the challenges and opportunities concerning standards of practice in print and online media, especially in relation to the impact of the Internet. | Prof Disney will step down as Chair on 28 February, after five years in the post. The new Chair, Prof David Weisbrot AM, assumes the role on 1 March. |
