Ubisoft Entertainment S.A. (Euronext: UBI) (originally Ubi Soft Entertainment, S.A. until 2003) is a French multinational video game developer and publisher, headquartered in Montreuil, France. It is known for developing games for several acclaimed video game franchises including Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Ghost Recon, Just Dance, Rainbow Six, Prince of Persia, Rayman, Splinter Cell, and Raving Rabbids.

Ubisoft claims to be the third largest independent publisher of video games worldwide. (after Activision Blizzard and Electronic Arts) Ubisoft worldwide presence includes 29 studios in 19 countries. The company has subsidiaries in 26 countries. Ubisoft's largest development studio is Ubisoft Montreal in Canada, which employs about 2,100 people.

In Ubisoft's 2008–2009 fiscal year, the company's revenue was €1.256 billion, reaching the 1 billion euro milestone for the first time in the company’s history. Ubisoft created its own film division, called Ubisoft Motion Pictures, which creates shows and films based on the company's games.

For Honor

For Honor is a hack and slash video game in development by Ubisoft Montreal and set to be published by Ubisoft for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It was announced at the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo. The game features a hand-to-hand combat system described as "The Art of Battle" by the developers and allows players to play the roles of historical soldiers such as medieval knights, samurai, and Vikings.

Gameplay

For Honor is a non-fantasy hack and slash video game set during the medieval period. Players can play as a character from three different factions, namely The Legion, The Chosen, and The Warborn. The three factions represent knight, samurai, and Vikings, respectively. Different classes have different abilities and weapons, and customization will be available for players. For instance, the gender of the characters, and the armor worn by them, can be changed and customized.

Players fight against each other with melee-weapons such as axes and swords. The game features competitive multiplayer modes that can support up to eight players, who will be split evenly into two different teams. When a match starts, players will be accompanied by numerous AI teammates, who assist players. Points, both temporary and permanent, can be earned in a match. When one team earns enough points, they must eliminate the players from the other team. Once all the players from a team are eliminated, the match ends. When players kill a certain number of enemies consecutively, they can level up, and gain Feats, which are additional perks. These perks allow players to gain additional points and strengths, call in a barrage of arrows or a catapult attack, or heal themselves.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six is a media franchise created by American author Tom Clancy about a fictional international counter-terrorist unit called "Rainbow." The franchise began with Clancy's novel Rainbow Six, which was adapted into a successful series of tactical first-person shooter video games.

Team Rainbow

Rainbow Six describes Rainbow as an international counter-terrorism operation hosted by NATO and funded by money funneled through the U.S. Department of the Interior.

The base of operations for Rainbow is located in Hereford, England (at the time, home to the SAS), due to the United Kingdom being one of the most accessible countries in the world and having one of the world's foremost special forces units. Most of the characters in Rainbow are American or British, though the NATO countries of France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Canada, and the NATO ally of Israel have at least one representative each.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is a first-person shooter video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. Considered as a successor to the now cancelled Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6: Patriots, Siege puts heavy emphasis on environmental destruction and co-operation between players. Unlike previous entries in the series, the title has missions known as "situations" as well as an online mode.

Gameplay

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is a first-person tactical shooter, in which players take control of an operator from the Rainbow team, a counter-terrorist unit. Different operators have different races, perks, bombs and gadgets. The game features an asymmetrical structure whereby the teams are not always balanced in their ability choices. The operators belong to the counter-terrorism units SWAT, SAS, GSG-9, Spetsnaz and GIGN, each of which has four operators. Canadian operators from Joint Task Force 2 have been added in a recent update. Players also have access to a "Recruit" operator whose gear and gadgets can be customized. Players pick an operator from any unit before a round starts, and are not allowed to change operators during a round. An in-game shop allows players to purchase operators using the in-game currency "Renown", which is earned from actions performed in-game. Each successive operator that is purchased from a single counter-terrorist unit costs an additional 500 Renown.
