Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

PERSONALLY - I'm not one to go for expensive skincare products because majority of the time they rarely make much of a difference for the cost BUT this product... it's worth every cent! It's great for all skin types but I personally have oily, to oily-combination skin if that helps anyone.

USE- I use it once a day, in the shower, after I cleanse. My cleanser cleans the skin whilst Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant exfoliates the dead skin and after this I then moisturise. It's a powder which so weird at first but I got use to my little routine of pouring a 5 cent size of the powder into a mini measuring cup and placing it nearby but out of range from water. When in the shower I pour it into the palm of my hand, add a few drops of water and mix it to a paste (don't add too much water or it will turn to a water like substance that won’t be of any use). When it's a paste I rub it into my skin for a minute then let it sit for a further 30 secs until it dries and finally, thoroughly rinse it off.

RESULTS - It leaves my skin no longer dull but brighter, my black and whiteheads are gone and my skin feels smoother. I also suffer from skin discolouration with dark patches and the brightening effect really helps to lessen the appearance of the dark patches. It’s no miracle cure but over the past three months I’ve seen a difference in the darkness of the patches, the amount of foundation I need to use to cover them and above all else, my confidence with my skin.

On a side note, I purchased this for the first time from Adore Beauty due to the great discounts they have every so often and it arrived perfectly packaged with wonderful bonus treats. I’ll personally continue to only buy this from Adore simply due to the large discount on the product so my advice is to keep an eye out with Adore as I highly recommend them. …Hope this all helps somebody.

love this product ...it is expensive but you only need to use a small amount ...I don't use it every dauy ..only once or twice a week ...leaves skin soft and smooth

I have only just recently started with this product and love it.

Wonderful exfoliant that has not irritated my sensitive skin at all. It is gentle enough to use daily and leaves my skin soft and bright. Making the paste is easy once you get used to it and although I use it everyday it will last quite a while as you only need a little powder to make the paste.

I brought this product afetr all the great reviews on here so needless to say I started out with high expectations. I'm pleased to report that i was not dissapointed. I've been using the product for just a week now and my skin feels great. I'm not a fan of the smell but I will definitely be buying again.

I absolutely love this exfoliant! After years of searching for one that is right for my skin, and doesn't irritate or cause sensitivity, I finally came across this one. It can take a little getting used to, in regards to how much water you add to the powder to make a paste, but once you figure that out it's great. I love the smooth, clean feeling I get after using it - and I love that it's gentle enough to use daily, to help smooth out my dehydrated skin. Definitely will keep buying this, and definitely recommend it for other combo/sensitive skins out there!

This is a great value and great quality product. Lasts ages and works well - skin feels smooth and looks bright. However even though I am an oily skin type this dried my skin out. I could not use every day at all. Would repurchase but only use as a normal exfoliant - ie two-three times a week.

What a product. I've only had the pleasure of using a sample but I was instantly in love with it. My sensitive skin wasn't irritated and I loved the fact that you could use this in the shower.

Fantastic! Noticed a HUGE difference in the texture of my skin after just one use. Clearing mt congested skin nicely. Started using this after trialing the Skin Prep Scrub. Tricky to get used to the powder at first, but if you add water SLOWLY until a paste forms it works very well.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this cleanser. Love the fact that this cleanser starts as a powder and becomes a cleanser / exfoliant when mixed with the water. This product cleanses very well, taking my day's make up off very easily. Has a ricey type scent, but it's actually quite nice. A very fine exfoliant, gentle enough to use daily as the name suggests. Can seem a bit pricey, but this cleanser lasts a long time, so well worth the money. When ever I use this cleanser in the mornings I get compliments that my skin is glowing, so I won't stop using it!

This exfoliator is really quite amazing. Gentle enough to use basically everyday yet really does exfoliate the skin well. I use after cleansing with Dermalogica Precleanse and my skin is super smooth and soft afterwards. The powder is a bit tricky to use, make sure your hands are wet but don't have excess 'puddles' as a excessively runny paste won't work as well. Also, rinse the skin well to remove any access paste as it feels quite dry and tight afterwards if any is left on the skin to dry (kind of like if you had a clay mask on). I would definately recommend!

I didn't particularly like this when I first bought it. It was difficult to get used to the powder and having to mix it with water to get the right consistency. I like an exfoliator to be quite "gritty" and this probably isn't as gritty as I would like. However, after using it for a week or so I have really come to love it. I don't mix it with water as such, I just sprinkle it in wet palms. It leaves my skin very clean and fresh. I'll definitely continue using it.

i use this every day in the shower and I am absolutely crazy about it. As soon as you put it on your face, you feel the difference! It really feels amazing and makes your skin glow! just perfect :)

Can totally see why this product is such a cult favourite and a best seller. I found this to be so gentle and lovely on my skin. Even though its not a cleanser I found my skin felt so clean afterwards but not stripped. My skin feels brighter and fresher after using Daily Microfoliant. Lasted for ages too. Used it in the shower and even left it on to let the rice enzyme work a bit more like a mini mask while I washed my hair or body. Im starting to show early signs of ageing around my eyes and loved that I could use this around my eyes to help exfoliate and brighten. Definitely a toiletry tote must-have of mine.

This is a lovely gentle exfoliant, perfect for those with sensitive skin, or removing flaking which you may get from using retinol or after a peel. Also a good for using in shower in the morning. I like using this as my second or third more gentle exfoliation after using something like the MD form face & body scrub...

I was intially preturbed by the powder but I found that wetting my face and then dotting the powder on (like a cream) then massaging it in was just as easy as a liquid exfoliant. Love this product. It felt so gentle that I didn't think I'd see any improvements, but my skin was refreshed, softer, and my pores were cleaner.

My second favourite product from Dermalogica. Definitely makes my skin more brighter after use and is gentle enough for daily use. Skin feels soft and smooth and didn't irritate my skin at all. Definitely a re-purchase for me!

This is the best product from the Dermalogica brand! It makes my skin brighter and more luminous after a short time of using it. And it is so gentle on skin even though it is an exfoliant. I have to admit making your own paste takes a little time to get used to, but once you do, your skin will thank you for it. VERY highly recommended!

After trying it a couple of times with a little less water, I was highly impressed by the gentle buffing Daily Microfoliant did for my skin and it feels great on my skin - it does not irritate my sensitive skin. A little goes quite a long way. Really pleased.

My teenagers with acne like this one, they find it not as harsh as others but they enjoy the softness the gentle exfoliant gives them.

My skin is sensitive, but does need exfoliation, and I find that Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant is exactly the product I need. The rice powder took a little bit of time to get used to (with the mixing with water & getting the right consistancy) but now that I'm used to it, it's simple. I will definately purchase again.

I don't know if I already reviewed this product but the first review is totally what I would say about this product as well. Brightens the skin but that's about it. No real dramatic change to the skin, just brighter

I have very sensitive skin and I was dubious about the claim that this was 'gentle enough for daily use'. But it actually is! I use it every morning in the shower and it leaves my skin feeling buttery soft. (I'm teaming this up with the Dermalogica 'medibac' range and from getting about 10-15 spots during a breakout I now only get one or two!) This exfoliator is also effective enough to remove any dry skin after a pimple has healed over.
A little tip, the first time I used it I had both wet my hand as well as my face. This made the consistency too runny. I recommend just wetting your hands, making the paste and then applying to a dry face.

I have been using this for over 12 months and I have found it to be the best exfoliant on the market. You simply pour a 10 cent piece sized amount into your palm, add a few DROPS of water (do not turn the tap on as it will wash down the sink) and stir with your finger to make a paste. Apply to your skin and then rub like a normal exfoliant. This is best used at night (like most exfoliants) as it will make your skin quite red from the increased blood flow. I find that it works well on all areas of my face including the eye area and it does not sting my eyes, dry out my skin or make my skin feel over-cleansed. Highly recommended - and the bottle will last a very long time. Just don't store it in the bathroom or where there is steam as the product will clump together.

I recieved this is a sample, and loved the product. Agree with other posters on getting the right consistency, but once you nail it, a little really does go a long way. Skin felt very refreshed and has helped with pores and break outs. Will definitely be buying the full sized version!

Expensive but it lasts a fair few months

I've been using this product for over ten years and it's never let me down. It's a reliable everyday exfoliant that isn't too harsh on my sensitive (and sun-damaged skin), yet leaves it feeling fresh and clean.

I have loved Dermalogica products for years but can't afford to buy the full suite of products all the time. I've found that this product is the lynch pin for me. If I use this product, my skin is smooth with no break outs, if I don't, my husband and I both notice! The other products I use in the Dermalogica range come and go with cash flow, but this one definitely stays!!

Be careful not to use to much! A little does go a long way. It eliminates scaly skin and clears pores leaving skin beautifully clear and smooth. I love this product!

I have been using Dermalogica products for nearly 20 years and I cannot recommend this product enough. I have tried other exfoliants and scrubs, but always come back to Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant.

My skin feels smooth and clear after using this product, and my serums and creams seem to work that much better. I'd had a break form using this, and now that I've been using it again for a month I've seen a clear improvement to my skin over the product I was trying out as an alternative. It really exfoliates effectively without irritating the skin like some physical exfoliants can.

Although this is marketed as a daily product, I only use it twice a week as my skin is sensitive to exfoliation and can't tolerate it daily. I still get fabulous results and as a bonus a bottle lasts me much longer!

The powder form can seem like a pain at first, but you quickly get used to eyeballing the right amount. I use this in the shower, and mixing it up with damp hands brings it to the perfect consistency. I then work it into my face and neck, focusing on my T-Zone. After giving it a minute to work it's magic (as I'm only using it twice a week I tend to let it work in a bit longer), I rinse it off and continue on my way. Easy peasy!

I love this in soooo many ways!

- A bottle goes a very, very long way. You don't need a whole lot for the magic to work.

- Powder form means you mix your own consistency.

- My lazy trick in the shower - pour some Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant on my palm, then dip my moist (not dripping) Clarisonic brush head lightly on the product. Gives perfect consistency every time and leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean :)

Even when the budget is tight, I get this product, for older skin it is fabulous

Upon my first time using dermalogica products, the daily mircrofoliant proved to be quality in powder! I was a bit hesitant at first as it is in powder form. However, after double clensing each day - I use this. I have visibly noticed reduced blackheads, my skin feels fresh without the drying and tighening of some exfoliants and it polishes away imperfections. I've decided that this product is now a staple in my bathroom!

I'm amazed how gentle it is to use everyday! Definitely worth the money and even better than it is cheaper here than a lot of other places!

I absolutely love this product! After using a lot of harsh glycolic, beady and chemical exfoliants for my oily/congested skin I tried this one after a friend recommended it to me. I actually binned all of the ones I had tried before this as it was a complete game changer. It doesn't have the harsh and abrasive beads/scrub that most exfoliators do as the product does all the work without you even noticing. Safe to use everyday, it calmed and nourished my inflamed and irritated break outs without drying out my skin which lead to soft, smooth, balanced skin with a healthier oil production overall. A little really does go a long way too so the bottle lasts for ages! Make sure you lather it thoroughly in the palm of your hand with some warm water as it activates all the ingredients which are what give you the real results. A must have for all skin types :)

This has to be - by far - my all-time favourite exfoliator. I'm in my early 30s and in the last number of years my skin has started to change from oily to dry/sensitive. I used to use quite abrasive exfoliators when I was in my teens and 20s, but they are far too harsh on my skin these days. This is a very gentle daily exfoliator however and I have had no adverse affects from using it on a daily basis, although I generally only use it 3 or 4 times a week. You only need a small amount in the palm of your hand that you mix to a smooth paste with a little water. It has the smell of rice (as it's made with rice), but it's not unpleasant or overpowering. My skin always feels smooth and soft and it's never aggravated afterwards, whereas other products, even supposed gentle ones, would leave me red and a bit sore. I still have an oily t-zone and the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is fantastic for gently clearing my pores, blackheads, etc from my nose and forehead. I know this is an expensive product, but for me it's worth it, especially after trying soo many inferior products out there that only damage my skin. I recommend this exfoliant to all of my friends and happily declare that this is the best gentle exfoliator on the market.

worth a try and very good value

I was not looking to buy an exfoliant but I received this as a sample recently. I am so happy I tried it. It has completely changed my skin my skin is smooth and my pores are empty. I have very sensitive skin that is prone to pre-rosacea so I was nervous to use an exfoliant on it. I will definitely be buying this once the sample runs out. Well done Adore for sending out fantastic samples.

Been using this for several years. Slowly reduces look of fatique, with regular use i have a more even tone without harsh exfoliation. Love that it is not damaging and can use every day. I think the dispenser bottle should be a flip top rather than a screw top. Flip top would be more practical especially if using in bath or shower. If you get any water in the bottle it is basically useless after that. There is no lingering smell or perfume which is good. Love this as can use with my other brand skincare too.

I love Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant as it is gentle enough to use everyday, but keeps my skin super soft and smooth. Great for oily skin. And Dermologica always knock it out of the park with their packaging!

I had a bit of a lapse in using this product. Upon using it again, my skin glows, and blemishes and dry wintery skin have significantly improved. I'd forgotten how important it is in my skin cleansing regime, and it is such good value as it lasts for a very long time. It makes you feel as if you can wash the day's stresses away.

This is the best scrub I've ever used , very soft and great for sensitive skins like mine I've been using it for a couple of years now and fin fit good value as it lasts forever you only need a little bit .....

I am 45 with reasonably good, combination skin. It has never been sensitive or dry. And then I used this product once. Initially my skin felt smooth and clean but tight.

One day later it felt tighter and dry. Two days on and my skin is irritated, itchy, very dry and scaly. I am not using my other products at the moment, including moisturiser, as they sting my face. I cannot recommend this product.

I've been trying to veer off physical exfoliators ever since the Hirons recommended to stick with chemical exfoliants. However, I did receive this from AB to sample. It's been really working well. I don't use it daily though. I use this after a cleansed face, massage & hot washcloth. Face looks brighter & clean!

I've been using this microfoliant for over 5 years now and it's the ONLY skin care product that my skin hasn't gotten used to.

It leaves my skin super soft and it's rare for people not to comment on how smooth and clear it looks! I absolutely love love love it! I only use it once a week but thats enough for me, and it really gets off all my make up at the end of the night without stripping any moisture,

Fantastic product! Worth the money I assure you, not to mention it lasts ages because you only need the smallest amount!
