Saint Paul and Apostle Paul usually refers to Paul the Apostle, the Christian religious leader.
The Ruins of St. Paul's (Chinese: 大三巴牌坊; pinyin: Dàsānbā Páifāng) refers to the ruins of a 16th-century complex in Macau including what was originally St. Paul's College and the Church of St. Paul also known as "Mater Dei", a 17th-century Portuguese church dedicated to Saint Paul the Apostle. Today, the ruins are one of Macau's best known landmarks. They are often, but incorrectly, mentioned as a former cathedral (see Macau Cathedral), a status they never had. In 2005, they were officially listed as part of the Historic Centre of Macau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Built from 1602 to 1640 by the Jesuits, the collegiate was one of the largest Catholic churches in Asia at the time, and the royalty of Europe vied with each other to bestow upon the temple the best gifts. With the decline in importance of Macau, which was overtaken as the main port for the Pearl River Delta by Hong Kong, the building's fortunes similarly ebbed, and it was destroyed by a fire during a typhoon on the 26 January 1835. The Fortaleza do Monte overlooks the ruin. In 2014 Italian historian Angelo Paratico put forward the idea that this façade is somehow connected with a sketch by Leonardo da Vinci kept at Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice. This could have been due to Francesco Melzi showing the codex to Carlo Spinola s.j. in Milan or by the architect Giacomo della Porta (connected to Leonardo's Codex Bill Gates formerly Codex Leicester) who designed the façade of the Chiesa del Gesu' in Rome.
The Senado Square, or Senate Square (Portuguese: Largo do Senado; Chinese: 議事亭前地), is a paved town square in Macau, China and part of the UNESCO Historic Centre of Macau World Heritage Site. It is an elongated triangular shaped square and connects Largo do São Domingos at one end and Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro on the other. It covers an area of 3,700 square meters (4,425 square yards)
The square was named after the Leal Senado,a meeting place for the Chinese and Portuguese in the 16th to 18th centuries, located directly in front of the square, where Leal Senado Building stands today. In 1940, a small garden was built at the centre of the square, featuring a bronze statue of Vicente Nicolau de Mesquita standing above a stone pillar pulling out a sword. The statue was pulled down in the 12-3 incident as Mesquita was responsible for the deaths of many Qing Chinese soldiers.A fountain was built at its site and still stands today.
Vast majority of the buildings around the square are European styled and many are protected monuments. The square used to allow traffic and parking lots were present, with increasing number of tourists the entire area was covered by Portuguese pavement in the early 1990s and designated a pedestrian-only zone.
The Historic Center (US) or Centre (UK; Portuguese: Centro Historico) of Salvador de Bahia in Brazil, also known as the Pelourinho (Portuguese for "Pillory") or Pelo, is a historic neighborhood in western Salvador, Bahia. It was the city's center during the Portuguese colonial period and was named for the whipping post in its central plaza where African slaves received punishment for various infractions, as well as for disciplinary purposes. The Historic Center is extremely rich in historical monuments dating from the 17th through the 19th centuries. Salvador was the first colonial capital of Brazil and the city is one of the oldest in the New World (founded in 1549 by Portuguese settlers). It was also the first slave market on the continent, with slaves arriving to work on the sugar plantations. This area is in the older part of the upper city (Cidade Alta) of Salvador. It ecompasses several blocks around the triangular Largo, and it is the location for music, dining and nightlife. In the 1990s, a major restoration effort resulted in making the area a highly desirable tourist attraction. It has a place on the national historic register and was named a world cultural center by UNESCO in 1985. Easily walkable, Pelo has something to see along every street, including churches, cafes, restaurants, shops and the pastel-hued buildings. Police patrol the area to ensure safety.
The Historic Center of Macao, also known as the Centro Histórico de Macau (Chinese: 澳門歷史城區; Portuguese: Centro Histórico de Macau), is a collection of over twenty locations that witness the unique assimilation and co-existence of Chinese and Portuguese cultures in Macau, a former Portuguese colony. It represents the architectural legacies of the city's cultural heritage, including monuments such as urban squares, streetscapes, churches and temples.
In 2005 the Historic Centre of Macau was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, making it the 31st designated World Heritage site in China. It was described by UNESCO as: "with its historic street, residential, religious and public Portuguese and Chinese buildings, the historic centre of Macao provides a unique testimony to the meeting of aesthetic, cultural, architectural and technological influences from East and West," and "...it bears witness to one of the earliest and longest-lasting encounters between China and the West, based on the vibrancy of international trade."

The Ruins of St. Paul's (also known as Sam Ba Sing Tzik) stands adjacent to the famous Mount Fortress and Macau Museum. The front façade and the grand stone stairs are the only remains of the greatest church. First constructed in 1580, St. Paul's Church caught fires in 1595 and 1601. However, reconstruction started in 1602 soon after the church was burnt down. Completed in 1637, the church became the biggest Catholic Church in East Asia at that time. Unfortunately, a violent typhoon hit Macau in 1835 and the church caught fire for the third time leaving its glory a history. According to historical materials, St Paul's Church, built with white stones, had a grand vaulted roof and 3 magnificently decorated halls. Vlog Date: Sept 15th, 2016 Spent a day in Macau!!! We took the ferry to Macau from Hong Kong. It's really the Las Vegas of Asia. We had a great time. It's perfect to explore for a day. We visited the Ruins of St. Paul, Saint Dominic's Church at the Senado Square. There was a street full of beef jerky. They gave so much free samples of everything! We also took a bus out to the Venetian Hotel. Transportation is cheap and food is great. Truly feels like Vegas. Highly recommended if you are visiting Hong Kong. St. Paul in the winter-Kids are crying for their dinner
Quick smoke and a drink, then it's time for bed
He said, ";Why do you always seem so down?
Is something lost that can't be found?";
You wait, hesitate, and tell him you're okay
But it's a lie-You can't look him in the eye
'Cause he won't ever understand you
You want to believe, that things will change
It worries your heart, oh to feel this strange
Bu you can't stop the world-No, from spinning around
You'll never stop the rain from falling down, down, down
Down, down, down
It's colder than I remember, at this time last December
The win was blowin' and, the skies are always grey
You said someday you're gonna leave that man...realize all that we've planned
Start all over again, under the southern sun
But it's a lie-You can't look me in the eye
Knowin' I won't understand you
Yeh I want to believe, oh that things will change
And it worries my heart, yeh to feel this strange
But I can't stop the world-No, from spinning around
You'll never stop the rain from falling down, down, down
I hope that you understand-You're always welcome at my door
And I hope you understand, that I";m not hoping anymore...hoping anymore
Yeh you want to believe, oh that things will change
And it worries your heart, mmm to feel this strange
But you can't stop the world-No, from spinning around
You'll never stop the rain from fallin' down, down, down
Down, down, down
