Young woman dead, two critical after Brand Highway crash

A young woman is dead and two more people critically injured after a fatal crash on Brand Highway, Muchea on Sunday afternoon. 

About 2.40pm, a silver Holden Rodeo utility headed south collided with a gold Toyota sedan travelling north near Chandala Brook Bridge.

The Toyota's driver, a 25-year-old Thornlie woman, died at the scene.

Her passenger, a 20-year-old Thornlie woman and 40-year-old Bennett Springs man driving the Holden were both flown to Royal Perth Hospital from the scene with life-threatening injuries.

They remained there in critical condition on Monday morning.
