Eagle Farm black bookers: Saturday February 18

Brazen Moss made a promising return on Saturday Image: Dan Costello
Two horses to follow out of Saturday's Eagle Farm meeting, including a potential winter carnival player.

Black Book

Race 7 (1200m): 3rd, beaten 0.3L

Strong-closing first-up effort along the rail (an area of the track most jockeys were avoiding) over an unsuitably short trip. The Tony Gollan-trained gelding might need one more hit-out - he'll show his best when he gets up to a mile - but appears set for a fruitful campaign.

Race 8 (1200m): 3rd, beaten 2.6L

This was one of the better three-year-old events you'll see in Brisbane and I'm tipping it'll be a strong form race. The winner (All Over Bosanova) is smart and this gelding, who was up in grade after an impressive Sunshine maiden win, showed the turn of foot of a quality horse in the making (potential winter carnival contender).
