James Lamb

James Lamb got his first taste of horse racing as an eight-year-old heading along to the Burrumbeet New Year's Day races.

As a 13-year-old he took to bookmaking, taking bets from his high school mates on the 2001 Melbourne Cup. The bookmaking, along with a few other small business ventures, continued throughout high school but the end goal was always a career in journalism.

After completing a Journalism degree at Monash University, James embarked on some overseas travel before taking up a job with a corporate bookmaker.

In 2013 he began working for Best Bets/Winning Post as a form analyst focusing primarily on provincial video study and Queensland previews.

James now finds himself in his dream job writing content for Punters.com.au, trying to sharpen up his foosball and table tennis skills in the process.
