Ο εχθρός των ναζί είναι το εργατικό και κοινωνικό κίνημα που παλεύει για δικαιοσύνη. Ας μην διαψεύσουμε τους φόβους τους ούτε στιγμή. Δεν φτάνει στο δρόμο να κατεβαίνουν οι 200-300 ενεργοί πολίτες για να πνίξουν το φίδι. Χρειάζεται να φτιαχτεί ένα ακηδεμόνευτο «από τα κάτω» οριζόντιο μαχητικό αντιφασιστικό κίνημα, στην εργασία, στα σχολεία, τις γειτονιές κ.α που όχι μόνο θα φράζει το δρόμο στους φασίστες, αλλά θα ανοίγει γενικευμένα το δρόμο της αντίστασης και της ανυπακοής στις προσταγές των “από πάνω”. read full story / add a comment

Los desalojos en el barrio Nuevo Jerusalén comenzaron sin garantías para las 175 familias que serán desalojadas, el Estado encarnado en las alcaldías municipales de Bello y Medellín no tiene una propuesta clara para reubicar a estas familias, solo han brindado un arriendo temporal de “3 meses con posibilidad de prórroga”, una solución en el aire para las familias que desde hace más de 10 años están construyendo su hogar, su casa, gentes que fueron desplazadas y que tampoco tuvieron apoyo o garantías a su llegada a la ciudad. This past week on January 11th, the body of Michael Israel, Sacramento organizer and late YPG volunteer, finally arrived in California from overseas. His journey back into the United States took over a month, and began in Syria with a ceremony and mourning procession to send him off. His California community has been awaiting his arrival, and organized a funeral procession of their own to welcome Michael home for the last time. Sacramento and Bay Area activists, individuals from the California Kurdish community, and Michael’s friends and family all came together to accompanied him from the San Francisco Airport to Lodi, his hometown. Over fifty people took part in the long-distance procession, traveling in around 20 cars, vans, and buses festooned with YPG and anti-fascist flags, flowers, and pictures of Michael. read full story / add a comment

On January 3, 2017, Syrian refugees, joined by Iraqi refugees and international supporters, marched on the Russian embassy in Thessaloniki, Greece. An article reporting on the march quotes a Syrian refugee as follows:
“They are trying to kill all the flowers in Syria, but they cannot kill the Spring. The Spring is coming. We are here, they cannot kill all the Syrian people.”

Κατά την περίοδο 1860-1870 μέσα από την συζήτηση και την πολεμική κριτική ανάμεσα στους Μαρξ και Μπακούνιν ήρθαν στην επιφάνεια του εργατικού κινήματος δύο διαφορετικές ερμηνείες του κοινωνικού μετασχηματισμού, του τι είναι πράγματι κυριαρχία και ποιες συνθήκες είναι απαραίτητες για την απελευθέρωση του ανθρώπου. Η έντονη αντίθεση ανάμεσα στις δύο μεγάλες κινηματικές προσωπικότητες είχε τις βάσεις της σε θεμελιώδεις θεωρητικές διαφορές, που ακόμη και σήμερα συνεχίζουν να υφίστανται. El 8 de marzo es una fecha en disputa. Para algunas es el Día Internacional de la Mujer; otras le llaman el Día Internacional por los Derechos de la Mujer y la Paz Internacional; muchas afirman que es el Día de la Mujer Trabajadora. Hay quienes celebran y hay quienes conmemoran.
En Kurdistán, la lucha por la liberación de las mujeres es eje de la lucha por la liberación social y nacional kurda. Desde entonces los actos de heroísmo, el dolor por las mujeres caídas y la lucha por la liberación se han combinado de una forma única. Las luchas de las mujeres adquiere doble valor: como esencia y como ejemplo. América Latina es también hija del sol y hermana de los pueblos de Oriente Medio.
