The government of Myanmar has the opportunity to lead from the front in tackling hate speech and to present an example of good practice to the world.
Since Myanmar’s landmark election in November 2015, the National League for Democracy government has publicly condemned the use of so-called hate speech on several occasions and indicated that a new law may be drafted to tackle the problem.

The Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business is a new initiative to encourage responsible business activities throughout Myanmar.
Introduction
The Centre is a joint initiative of the Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB) and the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR). Based in Yangon, it aims to provide a trusted, impartial forum for dialogue, seminars, and briefings to relevant parties as well as access to international expertise and tools.
