Thanks for joining us today

I'll be back tomorrow, but for now here's Andrew 'WuTube' Wu's report from Bangalore.

STUMPS

Brilliant day for Australia, as Renshaw and Warner survive 16 overs to be 0-40 at stumps on day one after India were bowled out for 189, with Nathan Lyon taking 8-50.

Having won the first Test in Pune, Australia have one hand on the Border-Gavaskar trophy, given they need only to draw this four-Test series to retain the trophy.

Aus 0-29

Slow going for Australia as Warner and Renshaw look to get through to the end of play. But no major scares of late. Three overs left in the day.

Aus 0-27

Ashwin keeping things tight but Warner and Renshaw looking pretty solid. Six overs until stumps.

Aus 0-25

Australia will face 16 overs today. Nine overs bowled so far.

DROPPED

Warner edges one from Sharma but it's spilt at gully by Rahane! A life for thr Australian vice-captain on nine.

Spin introduced

Ashwin into the attack and has a couple of LBW appeals in his first over but both are turned down.

Aus 0-17

Pretty comfortable for Australia so far. I'd expect to see some spin soon.

Aus 0-6

Warner gets off the mark wiith a boundary, punishing a short ball from Umesh Yadav.

Didn't think we'd be seeing Australia bat today

But here we are. Ishant Sharma to open the bowling as Warner and Renshaw get ready in the middle.

Lyon's figures are the best ever by a touring international bowler in India. Quite astonishing. An amazing way to turn the tables after he failed to make an impact on the outcome of the series four years ago. And coming after O'Keefe's 12-wicket haul in Pune. Scarcely believable.

ALL OUT

Lyon finishes with an astonishing 8-50, career-best figures. Rahul misses out on a century as he plays a leading edge to mid on where he's caught by Renshaw, before Ishant Sharma goes first ball, edging one to short leg.

Amazing scenes, with India all out 189.

O'Keefe appeals for LBW to Rahul and Australia review ambitiously, but the ball was closer to hitting Matthew Wade's head than the stumps.

WICKET

Lyon gets his sixth. There's an LBW appeal and review. It looks like there's a faint edge, but the ball's carried to slip where Smith took it easily. So Nigel Llong has to reverse his decision, but then gives it out anyway, caught not LBW. Jadeja goes and India are 8-188. Rahul on 89 not out, partners running out to get him to 100.

Interesting stat just shown on the coverage, Nathan Lyon now the all-time most prolific Australian bowler against India with 55 wickets.

WICKET

Five for Lyon! Saha edges one straight to Smith at slip and India are tumbling.

7-178

Wriddhiman Saha is the new batsman.
