The dress had attracted some negative comments on social media, with some likening it to the dress worn by Princess Fiona in the Shrek films. (News to us: the singer appeared on our best dressed list for her stunning khaki green ensemble.)
"Before the Grammys I had this dress right, I wore this green dress, everyone said I looked like Fiona from Shrek. They did," she said.
The Hello singer added that she had adopted a workout regime to fit into the dress, explaining it was "quite tight".

"I worked out. Obviously I'm a large lady and I like eating food very much, but I was working out twice a day to fit into that Givenchy dress because it was quite tight."
