Broncos 44, Titans 28
Gold Coast's season comes to an end, but Brisbane move on to week two. Brave performance from the underdogs considering they had no ball, no field position and due to injuries, no halfback or interchanges for pretty much the whole second half. Brisbane took full advantage of all of these factors and in the end ran up a pretty impressive score, but there will certainly be a nervous wait for James Roberts, who appeared to kick Ryan Simpkins early in the second half and may face a charge from the MRC.
The Broncos will play next week against the loser of the Storm/Cowboys game, who play tomorrow in a double feature which will also see Canberra hosting Cronulla. Steve Mascord will take you through all of that action tomorrow, see you then.
Titans have never stopped trying despite a myriad of decisions going against them. How can you not respect this team #NRLBroncosTitans

Parker takes this one, and misses. 44-28 and that should be the end of the scoring.
Oates seals it!
Hunt kicks early in the count and Simpkins cleans it up, but one play later Hurrell throws a desperation offload as they try to create something out of nothing, it goes to ground and the Brisbane winger picks it up and strolls a few metres to put it down in the corner!
Hayne throws a long pass but it's ruled forward! That's definitely the game now.
Back to topRoberts converts from right in front. 40-28, just over five to go.
Brilliant from Ryan James!
He breaks the record for most tries in a season by a prop! Bird offloaded to nobody, but the big man chased through, toed it off the ground and regathered before going over right under the posts. We're back to a two score game and there is time...
Friend grubbers early and Oates forces it dead. Eight minutes to go here.
The short restart is dropped by Pearson - scrum for the Titans.
Easy one for Kahu this time. 40-22.
Back to topMilford scores and it's game over!
That's one of the more fortuitous tries he'll ever score - he goes for the field goal, it's charged down and skews off to the left and poor old Greg Bird tries to catch the rebound but he makes a meal of it and Milford picks it up and goes over next to the posts!
Paasi loses it again! Nice tackle from Hunt to dislodge the ball. One more try here and it's definitely over.
Roberts hooks it wide! 34-22.
McQueen has a double!
They spread it right and really with their first set up this end, the backrower doubles his tally for the night.
The Titans get a penalty from the short kick-off! The ball goes to ground and James Roberts is ruled to have impeded the chasers.
Back to topKahu nails it from the sideline! 34-18.
Oates goes over in the corner!
That's probably the game. They spread it left and this time a long pass from Boyd is expertly batted on by Kahu to put the winger over just inside the touch line.
That's not a penalty. You're allowed to contest the ball FFS. #NRL

Oates flies high to try and catch a bomb from Roberts and spills it! Big call here - it's a penalty against Mead for apparently putting his opposite number in a dangerous position, but all he was doing was contesting the ball!
Blair gives away the penalty for holding on too long and the Titans badly, badly needed that. They've had no ball and no territory since half time.
