Open for award annually, for students enrolled or enrolling in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences within the faculty of Arts at the University. students will be automatically considered and nominated. No scholarship application is required.

Conditions
Students with the highest GPA score enrolled in the previous midâyear intake or enrolling in the current year intake in a nominated program within the GSHSS. They shall usually be students who have not received another scholarship for their proposed or current course of study.
Awarded to a domestic or international student, but preference may be given to domestic students.
The programs in which the two scholarships are to be awarded each year shall be nominated by the Director of the GSHSS in consultation with the Dean, and shall usually rotate annually across programs offered by the GSHSS. The following rotation is suggested for the next 8 years:
2012 – Master of Arts and Cultural Management; Master of Creative Writing, Publishing and Editing and Master of Journalism
2013 – Master of Journalism; Master of Publishing and Communications
2014 – Master of Art Curatorship; Master of Cultural Materials Conservation
2015 – Executive Master of Arts; Master of Arts (Professional and Applied Ethics)
2016 – Master of Development Studies; Master of Criminology
2017– Master of Public Policy and Management; Master of Social Policy
2018 – Master of International Relations; Master of Islamic Studies
2019 – Master of Applied Linguistics; Master of Publishing and Communications
