    The Turnbull government has moved to ease the burden on builders to comply with its strict construction code for workplace agreements but unions are calling the changes "policy on the run" and the third backflip in three months.

    Employment Minister Michaelia Cash issued a revised code on Monday that allowed builders to win Commonwealth-funded work up to September 1 even if their other workplace agreements and those of related-entities were not code compliant. Builders will now only need to ensure their specific agreement for the federal work is compliant.
