The Sydney Contemporary Art Fair has returned to the railway workshops and old industrial spaces of Carriageworks for its second year. At an art fair a range of galleries exhibit in one space and this year Sydney Contemporary had every major Sydney gallery, along with a few international ones. But does it end up being about art at all, or is it just a marketplace that is all about money? The Guardian's art critic Andrew Frost assesses this question.

The increasing availability and use of unmanned aerial vehicles by Governments and private citizens is causing anxiety among some about how drones may affect our security and privacy. This anxiety is explored in the latest experimental theatre piece "A Drone Opera" at The Arts House in North Melbourne. The world premiere is created by visual artist Matthew Sleeth who seeks to address these concerns.

Jarryd James' musical career has undergone a transformation. Having endured limited success as lead vocalist for his former band Holland, in 2013 Jarryd gave up on music altogether.
