Matty J is your new Bachelor

According to Daily Mail, last year's Bachelorette runner-up Matty J will get another shot at finding love.

The 29-year-old will star in the 2017 season of The Bachelor Australia, after his heart was broken by journalist and TV presenter Georgia Love.

Matty J said in a statement he looks forward to the possibility of meeting the girl he is going to spend the rest of his life with.

"I'm so excited about the prospect of settling down," he said. "Timing is such a crucial factor when it comes to making this commitment and I know wholeheartedly, that there's nothing I want more."

Filming for The Bachelor's latest season began in Sydney this week.
