PDWG members only access
The National Framework for Protecting Australia's Childrenwas endorsed by COAG in April 2009. In September 2009, the Performance and Data Working Group (PDWG) was established by Community and Disability Services Ministers' Advisory Council (CDSMAC) as a sub-committee of the National Framework Implementation Working Group (NFIWG). The PDWG monitors and reports on the progress of the performance and data components of the National Framework, as well as completing additional data projects on behalf of CDSMAC. The PDWG is also responsible for providing the NFIWG with policy relevant strategic and specialist technical advice regarding performance and data issues and priority areas of work.
The PDWG is co-chaired by a member of the NFIWG and the chair of the National Community Services Information Management Group (NCSIMG). Membershipincludes representatives from:
- Each state and territory
- Australian Government
- Australian Institute of Health and Welfare
- Non-Government sector
- Australian Institute of Family Studies (observer)
- Secretariat of the Steering Committee for the Review of Government Services Provision (observer).
Secretariat support for the PDWG is provided by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare. The inaugural meeting of the PDWG was held on 22 and 23 September 2009 in Canberra.
